You must speak with Pailin in her hut to trigger the A Study in Fear Fieldwork quest inIndiana Jones and the GreatCircle. There will be explosion sounds which makes Pailin send Indy to investigate, as the soldiers are destroying her lands and stealing her culture.

Heading to the Explosion Site andexploring it will make Indy runinto an old student of his named Annika. The two archeologists will then explore the vault, hoping to find the demon’s tomb.

After talking with Pailin, follow the mark on the map to reach the Explosion Site, which is near the Wat Si Sawai area,where the Khmer Warriors Temple is located.

Explore the Explosion Site and proceed inside the Khmer Vault. Rotate the lever to fall into a trap and eventually, Indy will meet Annika.

She will hand you a Circle Key to use on the nearby pedestal. But before that,burn the hay on the right using the Lighterand rotate the lever to activate the water source. Place the key on the pedestal andwait until all symbols are aligned to remove it.

Proceed with Annika and climb the platforms and the cogwheels until Indy rotate another lever, which unlocks a path to a second pedestal. Grab the nearby Cross & CircleKey to solve the puzzle:

After walking to the next room, Annika will trigger a trap, but don’t worry, it will stop later as it is broken.

Join Annika and keep walking until the Sarcophagus appears. Pull the lever on each side of the platform to open the Sarcophagus. However, it will be empty, and a trap will activate. Grab any of the available wooden rods and smash the weak wall to flood the area. Swim to the upper wall and dive using the breathing device to get rid of the obstacle. After a bit of swimming, return to the surface and grab Annika’s hand.

Since both of you are safe, explore the area to reach the upper platform and pull Indy’s student up. Now, both must rotate the levers at the same timeto open the dooror a trap will get activated. Approach the leverand only rotate once Indy says GO! Enter the new area to find the demon’s tomb puzzle.

How To Solve The Demon’s Tomb Puzzle In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

There are three pedestals you need to activate to unlock the lever in the middle of the room, which will solve the demon’s tombpuzzle inIndiana Jones and the Great Circle. But first, climb the stairs and pull the handle on the right side to pump water through the pedestals. Next, Annika will mention how there seems to be a key in a bird’s nest up high. Go to the right side of the room, around the column, and use the whip to climb the platform. Once you reach the bird’s nest, grab the Cross & Diamond Key and jump back down.

Upon solving the demon’s tomb puzzle, pull the lever to get the Idol of Yaksha. Sadly, when attempting to leave, Annika betrays Indy and pushes him into a trap. After swimming your way out, a scream will echo in the area. Go to investigate it to see Annika’s detached hand with the Idol of Yaksha in it. Take it and rotate the nearby lever to get out of the Khmer Vault.

There will be soldiers at the entrance, so if you wish to avoid them,wear the Royal Army outfit. Head back to the Village and give the Idol of Yaksha to Pailin to end the A Study in Fear Fieldwork quest.
