The Mythical Island expansion is now available inPokemon TCG Pocket, and with it comes a full set of brand-new cards that will likely be part of the meta for quite some time. This includes some chase rares, new immersive artwork, and plenty of Pokemon that make grass-type and fighting-type decks more viable than ever.
Just like the Genetic Apex expansion packs, there are a bunch ofPokemon TCG Pocketsecret missionsto be discovered within the new set. Below, you’ll find all four available secret mission requirements, including which specific cards you need to pull from booster packs, as well as the rewards for completing them.
Pokemon TCG Pocket Mythical Island Secret Missions
As of the time of writing, four secret missions are available to complete in the Mythical Island expansion. The cards needed to finish them are incredibly rare pulls from packs, which you can get asneak peek of by tilting each packas you open it. It’ll take some time to get all 14 rare cards. While there are plenty of rarer cards in the set, the ones you’re looking for are mostly full art rares, such as Exeggutor, Salandit, and Marshadow. Some chase rares, including Gold crown-rarity Mews to the one immersive card: Celebi ex, are also needed to complete the set.
Mythical Island Pack Rarities
Sadly, your chances of pulling some of these cards in packs are slim at best. In the fifth slot of a regular pack, the chance you have ofpulling the highest rarity cardin the set, the Gold Mew ex, is just 0.160% according to the Offering Rates, while the Immersive Full Art Celebi ex is available in 0.888% of packs. Regular full art ex cards have a slightly better chance at a 2% pull rate, while one-star full art cards have a 10.288% chance of appearing.
If you get lucky and open a pack with a bonus rare card inside, the rates you’ll find for any of these cards in that fourth slot are even smaller. These are 0.040% for the Gold Mew ex, 0.222% for the Immersive Full Art Celebi ex, 0.500% for any one of the full art Pokemon ex cards, and 2.572% for any one-star full art card.
Mythical Island Pack Points
All’s not lost if you’re extremely unlucky though. If you open enough packs, you’ll accumulate Pack Points unique to the set which you may spend on any card to get a copy. For the cards you’re looking for to complete the missions, you could be spending anywhere between 70 and 2500 Pack Points per card. Pack Points for Genetic Apex packs can’t be used to buy Mythical Island cards as the Pack Point totals are separate.
