Winter Wonder is the sixth free DLC stage for Team Asobi’sAstro Bot. Unlike the previous five, this one focuses more on exploration, with players needing to use almostall of the game’s power-ups and abilitiesto find 15 Christmas presents. Each gift contains a different collectible, with seven Cameo Bots, four outfits, and four Dual Speeder skins on offer.

For the most part,Astro Botplayers can open the presents up in whatever order they like, although the one containing the final Cameo Bot will only show up once players have found and opened the other 14. That said, we’ll be listing them in the order that we feel makes the most sense, as some Winter Wonder collectibles are best collected in a certain order.

To gain access to the Winder Wonder stage, players will need to crash into the Christmas hat-wearing planet that can be found floating around onthe Galaxy Select screen.

Winter Wonder Outfit #1 (Festive Fellow)

Players will find the gift containing the Festive Fellow outfit near the very beginning of the stage and will unlockthe Astro-ho-ho! Trophyupon obtaining it. The blue sign to the right of the present keeps track of how many gifts players have opened so far, which can be very useful if they ever lose track of their current total.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #1 (Rayman)

If players head to the blue balloons with the stopwatch on them they’ll find a chest containing the stopwatch power-up fromthe Slo-Mo Casino stage. They can use this to ride the floating platforms to the ledge behind the turquoise-colored frog statue, where they’ll find some birds flying around with a gift. By using the stopwatch again while the birds are close to the ledge, players will be able to grab and pull the wires coming out of the gift, causing it to fall and land beside them. Inside, they’ll find a Cameo Bot based on the titular character from Ubisoft’sRaymangames.

Winter Wonder Outfit #2 (Vengeful Spirit)

If players continue on from the Rayman Cameo Bot, they’ll soon come to some brown balloons with monkeys on them. Buried beneath the snow here is a circular platform that they’ll need to hover around the circumference of. Doing so will cause the platform to light up, at which point a chest containing the monkey power-up fromthe Go-Go Archipelago! stagewill appear. After grabbing it, players should drop off the ledge to their left and look for two blue flowers on the nearby wall. Spin punching them will open up the wall that they’re attached to, behind which players will find a gift containing the Vengeful Spirit Outfit, which is based on Jin Sakai fromGhost of Tsushima.

Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #1 (Polygon Polychroma)

Back outside, players should climb back up to where they got the monkey power-up and then use the bananas to get up and over to the other side of the windmill. Here, they’ll need to press L2 and R2 to slam the circular disc on the ground, which will dislodge some nearby snow and allow them to open the gift containing the Polygon Polychroma Dual Speeder skin.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #6 (Miles Morales)

After players get the Polygon Polychroma Dual Speeder skin, a swing bar will pop out of the ground, allowing them to get over to a platform with an igloo on it. If they punch the snowman inside the igloo, they’ll see a blue X on the ground, and spin punching while standing on top of this will take them down to a secret area with a chest containing the puffer fish power-up first seen inthe Sky Garden stage. Using this with the metal squid back up at the surface will take them to some floating platforms by the giant Christmas tree, at the top of which is a gift containing a Miles Morales Cameo Bot. To open it, players will need to use the puffer fish power-up with the pipe coming out of the side.

After landing on the first floating platform by the Christmas tree, players should be able to see a squid balloon to their left. Grabbing this will allow them to get to the very top of the Christmas tree, which will unlock the You’re a star! Trophy. Players can also find a photo spot here if they enjoytaking pictures inAstro Bot.

Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #2 (Urban Dash)

Near the beginning of the stage is a UFO carrying around a gift. There are a few different ways that players can get this one, the simplest of which is to use the stopwatch power-up to freeze time while the UFO is near a slope and then jump up and punch it. Doing so will cause it to drop the gift, allowing players to claim the Urban Dash Dual Speeder skin inside.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #2 (Gex)

Not too far from where the UFO can be found flying are some dark green balloons, which mark the position of the elephant power-up chest. After acquiring it, players should look for the nearby orange cubes and get on top of them using the orange gel that the little mole-like creature is holding. They can then suck up the orange gel cubes to release the present, which contains a Cameo Bot based on Gex.

Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #3 (Jolly Holly)

Slap bang in the center of the stage is a shallow pit full of sparkling Christmas tree baubles. Hidden inside this pit is a cable that players can pull on to reveal a Christmas present containing the Jolly Holly Dual Speeder skin.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #3 (Tomba)

Near the center of the stage are some light blue balloons with a penguin on them. If players head down the well beneath them, they’ll be able to get the penguin power-up fromthe Bubbling Under stage, which they can then use to break through the nearby destructible wall. On the other side of it, they should jump out of the water and punch open the gold gift, which will reward them with a Cameo Bot based on Tomba from Whoopee Camp’sTomba!games.

Winter Wonder Dual Speeder Skin #4 (Retro Royale)

Over to the left of the stage are some light green balloons, which mark the position of the frog power-up first seen inthe Az-Tech Trail stage. After collecting it, players should swing on the red beams and then punch the giant green blob enemy until it explodes, which will reveal a slingshot contraption. Punching both sides of this and then pulling back will fire players over to a new island, where they’ll need to punch the black crate off the ledge to get a chest containing the sponge power-up. If they then use this to spray water on the circle of saplings, they’ll gain access to a gift containing the Retro Royale Dual Speeder skin.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #4 (Worm)

After collecting the Retro Royale skin, players should use the blue spinning platform to head back up to where they came from, where they’ll now find a chest containing the canon ball power-up fromthe Hieroglitch Pyramid stage. If they hop into the nearby volcano while in ball form, they’ll be blasted over to a house, where they’ll need to use the power-up and the black platforms to get onto the roof and down the chimney. Inside the house is a gift containing a Cameo Bot based on one of the worms from Team 17’sWormsfranchise.

Winter Wonder Outfit #3 (Antler Adventurer)

If players head toward the gold balloons in the center of the stage, they’ll find another giant pile of sparkly Christmas tree baubles. Using Astro’s jets here will break the glass beneath the decorations, allowing players to drop down and open the chest containing the mouse power-up fromthe Downsize Surprise stage. Shrinking down and heading through the nearby tunnel will take them to a new area with a ship in a bottle. After reverting to normal size to pull out the cork, players should shrink down once again and head inside the bottle to find a gift containing the Antler Adventurer outfit.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #5 (Croc)

Players will need to use a spinning platform to exit the mouse area, which will lead them to a chest containing the Chicken power-up fromthe Trapped in Time stage. After using it to escape from the pit, they’ll then want to use it again to get on top of the nearby lighthouse, where they’ll find a gift containing the fifth Winter Wonder Cameo Bot. This one is based on the titular character from theCrocgames, which should bring a big smile to the faces of those who grew up in the PS1 era.

Winter Wonder Outfit #4 (Archstone Explorer)

Over to the right of the giant Christmas tree are some brown balloons with teddy bears on them. These mark the position of the cymbal power-up, which players get to use in the Final Encore stage. If players ring the cymbals while standing close to the four lightbulbs nearby, the bulbs will light up, and a green rail will appear out of nowhere. Players should ride this rail around the stage until they reach a hidden area in the side of one of the stage’s outer walls, at which point they’ll want to jump off and head inside. Here, they’ll need to use Astro’s jets to push down one of the floor tiles, which will cause another Christmas present to appear. This one contains the Archstone Explorer outfit, which is inspired by The Slayer of Demons character fromDemons Souls.

Winter Wonder Cameo Bot #7 (Spider-Man)

After players have opened all of the gold presents, a cutscene will play and a platinum present will appear beneath the giant Christmas tree. Inside this one, players will find the last Winder Wonder Cameo Bot, which is based on Marvel’s Spider-Man. Rescuing this Bot will also unlock the Unwrapped! Trophy, which is the last of the three Winder Wonder Trophies.
