After the success of Beastars, it is hardly surprising thatanother one of Paru Itagaki’s mangais being adopted into an anime series. The new anime is based on her manga called Sanda. According to the details, Sanda anime will be released in fall 2025. The anime is being produced by Science Saru. This is obviously great news for fans who wanted to watch more of her work getting adapted into anime.

Sanda Anime Cast & Staff
The official website for the anime has confirmed the main staff members that will be working on the adaptation. Tomohisa Shimoyama is directing the anime, while Kimiko Ueno is in charge of scripts and series composition. Tomoyuki Tanaka is composing the music, and Masanobu Ishiyama is the character designer.
As previously stated, the anime will be produced by Science Saru. The studio has worked on titles like Space Dandy, Devilman Crybaby, and Dandadan.
So far, only two cast members have been revealed.
It is safe to assume that the other cast members will be revealed as the anime gets closer to its release.
Pary Itagaki’s Sanda Could Be Her Next Major Hit
Written by Paru Itagaki, Sanda began serializing in Weekly Shonen Champion in July 2021. The manga released 100 chapters before concluding in July 2024. All the chapters of Sanda have been compiled into 16 volumes. It is unclear how well Sanda has done in terms of sales but it should be between 1-2 million. The release of the anime will certainly boost the sales, and help the manga to sell more copies.
Paru Itagaki’s Beastars anime released the first cour of itsfinal season in December 2024. Like most anime series, Beastars' last season is going to be split into two cours. Some fans do not like waiting for the other episodes, but this format helps the studio dish out better content. The release date for the second cour is currently unknown, but it will likely air in 2025.
Beastars manga began serializingin Weekly Shōnen Champion from September 2016 to October 2020. The manga has done well in terms of sales. Based on the latest report, Beastars sold over 7.5 million copies.
