Aizen is one of the most captivating characters inBleach, cementing his place as a powerful antagonist at the end of the Soul Society arc. The sheer power this villain wields is so immense that he bossed most of Soul Society without even revealing his Bankai.
The fights he’s participated in are largely one-sided, which is somethingBleachfans are familiar with. Kubo loves to write powerful characters who can wipe out their opponents without a fuss, but this works more often than not in Aizen’s case because of how menacing he is.

8VS Tier Harribel
Expresses His Disgust Toward The Ineptitude Of The Arrancar
It’s a shame that Tier Harribel is jobbed so many times despite placing herself as a powerful Arrancar. She was defeated handily by both Yhwach and Aizen to elevate their statuses as some of the most powerful characters in the series.
To call her confrontation with Aizen a battle would be a stretch since Aizen ended her chances of attaining victory with a single slash. It was an emphatic way to show just how disappointed Aizen was with his Arrancar, using Harribel as an example.

7VS Shinji Hirako
A Short And Emphatic Reunion That Is Eventually Interrupted
Before Shinji was exiled from Soul Society, he was subject to a betrayal of the highest order that caused him and the rest of the Visored to undergo Hollowfication. So, when this character finally crossed paths with Aizen, it was clear that the aftermath could be very bloody.
However, this battle was far too short and eventually interrupted by the rest of the Visored and the Gotei 13. In a way, this was good for Shinji, who would’ve been obliterated if Aizen decided to get serious in this battle.

6VS Toshiro Hitsugaya
Obliterates The Captain’s Ice Bankai With One Blow
Hitsugaya is one of the most interesting Captains inBleach. However, this prodigy didn’t have a chance of defeating Aizen when he uncovered the captain’s betrayal at the end of the Soul Society arc.
Even with his Bankai, Hitsugaya was unable to stop Aizen. The traitor obliterated his strongest form in a single hit before moving on to more important matters.

5VS Renji Abarai & Ichigo Kurosaki
Shows His Superiority Over The Duo
After Aizen reveals his evil nature, he heads to the scene of Rukia’s execution to extract the Hogyoku from her soul. However, Renji decides to save his friend after seeing the light and deciding to do what his heart tells him instead of blindly following orders.
As one would expect, his Zabimaru was no match against Aizen, who would’ve killed the Lieutenant had it not been forIchigo’s intervention. However, even in his Bankai state, he was no match for a man who stopped his blade with his bare hands before inflicting a grievous wound on the Substitute Shinigami.

4VS The Gotei 13 & The Visored
Shows The Entirety Of Soul Society And Its Outcasts The True Depths Of His Power
During the battle in Fake Karakura Town, Aizen sawthe Gotei 13 and the Visoredstand in his way. However, he had no time to waste on people who were seemingly under him and defeated them in a humiliating manner.
The fact that the strongest shinigami couldn’t hold a candle against Aizen showed just how badly he outclassed everyone. There was no stopping the villain as the Hogyoku started accepting him, enhancing his powers even more.

3VS Isshin Kurosaki, Kisuke Urahara, & Yoruichi Shihoin
Aizen’s Transformation Gives Him The Edge He Needs To Defeat This Powerful Trio
The trio of Isshin Kurosaki, Urahara, and Yoruichi should’ve been enough to stop Aizen, even if it would’ve come at the cost of some serious injuries. However, the Hogyoku picked the worst possible time to activate, helping the villain transform to become more powerful than ever before.
In this new form, the trio didn’t stand a chance and was handily defeated by Aizen in yet another one-sided squash. However, he did face a bit of adversity in this battle, which is why it’s more interesting than other battles where he just flexed his strength.

2VS Gin Ichimaru
Gin’s Sneak Attack Almost Gains The Upper Hand, But He Falls Short
Gin is a tragic and misunderstood figurewho hated Aizenfrom the very moment he hurt Rangiku years ago. The gears started moving in his mind and he decided to pretend that he was on Aizen’s side.
In reality, he was waiting for the perfect moment to kill Aizen while he was fused with the Hogyoku. Unfortunately, Aizen’s body has already acclimatized to the Hogyoku, and Gin’s removal of this valuable item wouldn’t make a lot of difference as Aizen transformed and became stronger than ever. What followed was a brutal defeat of Gin as he was mortally wounded, with his last memories being of Rangiku as he passed away.

1VS Ichigo Kurosaki
Training In The Dangai Gives Ichigo The Power Needed To Defeat Aizen For Good
While many people aren’t huge fans ofAizen’s final fight against Ichigo, it’s the only battle where he faces serious adversity. Seeing this otherwise confident villain be rattled by Ichigo’s strength to the point where he had to form excuses to justify this one-sided battle was epic in its way.
If Ichigo’s powerup felt earned, then this battle could’ve been one ofBleach’s biggest highlights. Still, it’s awe-inspiring to see Ichigo transform into the Final Getsuga Tensho before unleashing a technique that handily defeated Aizen at the cost of the Substitute Shinigami’s powers going away for good.
