Delta Forcehas a wide selection of firearms available, and that includes over a dozen assault rifles. Every weapon in the game is viable to some degree, but as always, there are some outliers that are noticeably better than the rest.
Picking the right assault rifle for the job can be a little confusing, especially since most weapons perform similarly in terms of stopping power. The following are seven of the best assault rifles in the game so far, in no particular order, and with consideration for both of the main modes inDelta Force. These were selected particularly with ease of use in mind.

Any
The M4A1 is a well-rounded assault rifle that’s best suited for close range. With a bit of modification, this weapon can become an absolute beast in both medium range and intense CQB. Longer barrel options can push the M4A1’s effectiveness up to the 50-meter mark, while high Handling builds can crank the gun’s speed and hipfire accuracy up to SMG-levels.
It’s hard to go wrong with any setup using the M4A1. Even the most cursed of builds can work with this weapon. However, it does have a bit of a skill curve, so it might take some getting used to before you may become effective with this rifle.

These may be considered aslevel oneDelta Forceweaponsfor both Warfare and Operations modes, but they’re up there as some of the best assault rifles in the game in terms of consistency. Both CAR-15 and AKS-74 are very forgiving weapons to use, and they’re great for close-medium range firefights thanks to their respectable damage output and excellent recoil control.
The reason these weapons are listed together is that they perform mostly the same, with the main differences between each being their damage per shot values and rates of fire. The AK is slightly better at longer ranges due to its higher base damage negating damage fall-off, while the CAR is stronger up close thanks to its fire rate.

The SCAR-H is one of the best assault rifles for players who are looking for something that hits hard over close-medium ranges. This rifle may have a slow rate of fire, but its relatively stable recoil and firing patterns make it a deadly choice, especially for Engineers in Warfare mode.
Like other battle rifles, the SCAR-H inDelta Forceis best built for engagements at the 30-meter+ range. It’s fairly easy to control when fired in short bursts, and it has the same optimal TTK value as the majority of other fast-firing guns, which means it can stand toe-to-toe against the other weapons on this list in CQB (provided players can hit their shots).

Any (Magnified preferred)
The QBZ-95 may not seem special at first, especially compared to the weapons above. It has a slightly longer optimal TTK value (0.4s) than the rest (0.3s), but it makes up for that by being extremely easy to control in full-auto. This trait makes the QBZ-95 the prime candidate for medium-range shooters using magnified optics.

It’ll take a bit of investment before the QBZ-95 can become a laser beam with a 3x scope, but players who love sitting behind cover and picking targets off will have a lot of fun with this rifle.
The AUG is much like the QBZ95-1 — it’s a rapid-fire rifle that’s better suited for longer ranges thanks to its stability, though its a bit harder to control when firing long bursts. This rifle kicks relatively harshly to the right, but with the right attachments, players will be able to tone its kick down significantly, especially if theycalibrate their attachments.

One of the main downsides of the AUG is its damage per shot value, which sits at only 20. This means that takedowns will require five shots to the body if the target has no armor or extra health. This incentivizes players to fire the weapon in bursts or aim for the head in long range. Using the AUG is going to be a little awkward at first, but once mastered, it’s a smooth-firing gun that’s fairly adaptable.
The Type-191 is arguably the best assault rifle in the game as of writing. Its base configuration performs similarly to the M4A1, but what makes this gun special is its special Gas Block attachment that increases its rate of fire. With this attachment equipped, the QBZ-191 reaches an optimal TTK value of 0.2 seconds with only body shots, making it the fastest-killing assault rifle inDelta Force.

To make matters even better, the weapon fires very smoothly with little vertical recoil and a slight rightward kick. It’s on par (if not better) with the QBZ95-1 in terms of accuracy and reliability in medium range with a 3x scope, yet it’s far more lethal up close as well.
