Updated on Jul 06, 2025, by Nathan Round:Fortnite OG has officially entered its second season, bringing back many iconic locations from the original Chapter 1 Season 2 map. This list has been updated to include additional locations like Tilted Towers and Shifty Shafts, both of which are excellent drop spots for Fortnite OG Season 2.
10The Prison
Excellent Low-Profile Location For Solo Players
First up is a location that will likely fly under many players’ radar, as it isn’t actually a named POI on the map. This location is often referred to asThe Prison, situated on the outskirts of Moisty Mire. The Prison is anexcellent low-profile spotinFortniteOG, not attracting much attention but still offering a decent amount of loot for players to gather.
The Prison itselffeatures eight possible chest spawnsin total, great for solo players and even those dropping in with a friend. The location is also largely composed of brick, providing players with anample amount of the material to farm. For players in need of wood, Moisty Mire is conveniently nearby, along with several trees close to The Prison for additional harvesting opportunities.
9Container Yard
Low-Profile Drop Spot With Great Loot Potential
Next up is theContainer Yard, another unnamed POI, this time found just north of Retail Row. With much of the attention often falling on Retail Row, this location acts as a relatively uncontested drop spot. The Container Yard is home toeight possible chest spawns, making it comparable to other larger named POIs in terms of potential loot, but it comes with the added benefit of drawing less attention than most other areas.
Not only does the location boast an abundance of chests, but it can also be agreat POI for securing easy eliminationsif players know how to navigate the area effectively. The outskirts of the POI provide numerous vantage points that can be used to gain a height advantage over those looting the main shipping container area. Additionally, the maze of shipping containers themselves can lead to some pretty hectic close-range gunfights, making it a thrilling drop spot for players to dive into. Not only that, but the location also provides quite a lot of metal and wood to harvest.
8Greasy Grove
Restaurant Town On The Outskirts Of The Map
Greasy Groveis a location that nearly everyFortniteplayer is familiar with, thanks to the recognizable Durrr Burger restaurant featured prominently on the west side of the POI. When it comes to sheer loot potential, Greasy Grove is a great spot, boasting 15 possible chest spawnsfor players to open. It alsoprovides a great amount of materials to farm, notably brick and wood, to gear up for early-game battles.
While Greasy Grove is located on the outskirts of the map, whether the location is contested or not often depends on whether it falls toward the start or the end of the bus route. This means it canserve as a good low-profile spotif the bus route falls in the player’s favor. However, with the location being so far from the center, players may often find themselves caught in the storm during the collapse of the first circle.
7Shifty Shafts
Secluded POI Garnering Very Little Attention
Following Greasy Grove isShifty Shafts, an iconic Season 2 location that has made its return once again. While Shifty Shafts may not be the best location in terms of sheer loot potential—not exactly holding a candle to some other entries on this list—two key factors make it adecent spot for players looking for a strong start to the match.
First is Shifty Shafts' general location, which sits between Greasy Grove and Tilted Towers. Since these two locations tend to attract the most players,Shifty Shafts is often fairly uncontested. With both POIs nearby, players also have the option to rotate if they find themselves short on loot. Additionally, Shifty Shafts hasplenty of trees and structures to harvest for wood, providing asolid stockpile of materials for later battles.
6Snobby Shores
Enclosed POI Boasting A Lot Of Materials To Farm
Up next is another location debuting in Season 2:Snobby Shores. This spot is likely to stay off many players' radars, as Snobby Shores sits on the far west side of the map, right along the island’s shore—just as its name suggests. Its general location alone means it draws little attention, especially if it doesn’t fall along the battle bus route, making it agreat low-profile landing spotfor players looking to avoid early-game fights.
Snobby Shores mainly consists of five residential houses, each offering multiple floors filled with chests. If players land here with opponents nearby, it’s fairlyeasy to secure at least one buildingbefore an enemy claims all the loot inside. This gives players ample time to gear up before engaging in battle. The one downside to Snobby Shores, however, is that if it falls outside the safe zone, players may need to escape quicklyto outrun the storm.
5Salty Springs
Great Contested POI For Solos & Duos
The next POI on this list isSalty Springs, a somewhat small point of interest but a great one for a certain niche of players. While Salty Springs does attract a lot of attention, it’s not the best choice for squads specifically, as there areonly nine possible chest spawns here. However, it can be a great spot for players going solo or with a friend.
The balance between a lower number of chests, and the fact that players often drop at Salty Springs, makes it anexcellent location for solo playerslooking to engage in a few early-game fights, all while securing decent loot. Beyond its loot potential, the area alsooffers a good mix of wood, brick, and metal to harvest, making it a solid option for regular Battle Royale. Additionally, in Zero Build mode, it provides ample cover, further enhancing its appeal.
4Lonely Lodge
Great Low Profile POI With an Ample Amount of Resources
Following Salty Springs isLonely Lodge, another often low-profile POI that serves as a great spot for players who want to avoid the early-game chaos of areas like Retail Row. In terms of potential loot, Lonely Lodge is a solid pick, offering 12 possible chest spawnsfor players to utilize. However, the biggest draw of Lonely Lodge isthe abundance of materials players can harvest there.
Lonely Lodge is surrounded by trees, allowing players to quickly max out their wood supply, providing them with the resources needed to build to their heart’s content for the rest of the game. The trees alsooffer excellent cover for Zero Build players, creating a refreshing change from the otherwise open landscapes found across much of the map. Of course, with this location being on the outskirts, players may have to fight the storm if the zone happens to pull away from it early game.
3Tilted Towers
High Action Hot Drop With Lots of Loot
Now entering the top three isTilted Towers, arguably the most popular POI in all ofFortnite. Unlike its original debut, Tilted Towers returned withthe launch ofFortniteOG Chapter 1 Season 2, once again providing players with one of the hottest drop locations on the map. Due to its iconic status, this location draws massive attention, making it anideal spot for players eager to jump into early battles—but a casual player’s worst nightmare.
Early fights aside, Tilted Towers might just bethe best location for top-tier loot, as the sheer number of chests here is incredible. This legendary POI also provides plenty of materials to farm, great vantage points to set up base, and an ample amount of cover—perfect for players diving into Zero Build.
2Pleasant Park
Solid Location For Players Looking For Good Loot
Coming in second place isPleasant Park, a location carried over from Season 1, but still deserving of a top spot on this list. Pleasant Park shares similarities with Retail Row and Salty Springs, particularly in design. However, unlike these locations, Pleasant Park is significantly larger, offeringmore opportunities for players to secure a building for themselveswithout immediately having to fight for loot.
Of course, Pleasant Park is highly contested, as it frequently falls close to the bus route, meaning players will often have to battle their way out when it’s time to rotate to the safe zone. However, in terms of setting up a strong foundation for the rest of the match, Pleasant Park is an excellent choice. It boastsgreat loot potential, abundant resources, andplenty of rooftops to use as vantage points.Just be sure to avoid open areas like the football field, especially when diving into Zero Build.
1Retail Row
Large Residential Area With Lots of Chests
Retail Rowis one of the more popular locations inFortniteOG, serving as a fan favorite for players to head to. Of course, with its high status among the player base, it is also oftenone of the more contested POIs, making it a great spot for players who want to start the game off with a few early battles. Popularity aside, the area is also a great place to drop for several reasons.
The biggest draw of Retail Row is the sheer number of chests it boasts, totaling 16 possible chest spawns. This makes it an excellent spot for acquiring great loot, along with increasing the player’s chances of findinghealing items like Shield Potions. The area also provides plenty of buildings to take advantage of height, which is great for cover in Zero Build. However, there are quite a few open areas, particularly on the east side of the POI, which may catch some players off guard.
