A Log Bait deck is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a bait where your main goal is to bait out your opponent’s main anti-swarm spell like the Arrows or The Log so that your primary win condition (Goblin Barrel in most cases) can get damage on the tower. Log Bait decks fallunder the cycle deck archetypeand usually have a low average elixir cost.

The cards needed are pretty easy to get, so leveling up this deck is not a major issue, even for a free-to-play player.

While some might claim the deck is too heavy for a Log Bait deck, you’re able to actually cycle through it pretty fast. First off, theRocket in this deckisn’t meant to be used every time you have it in your cycle. Your goal is to get as much value with it as possible. If the opponent has built up a massive push, bam! Use the Rocket and get rid of everything on the field. If you need to get more tower damage, use it on the Tower instead, but only when you won’t get punished for it.
Other than that, the deck is pretty straightforward to use. Toss a Goblin Barrel on the enemy tower to get tower damage. If they use The Log to counter it, go with a Princess at the bridge to get some chip damage on the tower. Use the Knight to protect the Princess when the opponent doesn’t have any way to counter it to get even more damage.
Goblin Gang and Evo Skeletons serve as your primary defense, while the Inferno Tower is your major counter forbeatdown decks with big win conditions. You’ve got The Log to deal with cheap troops or even get some minor tower damage when needed. It’s been a while since the Goblinstein champion card came out, but it’s still considered one of thestrongest champions in the game. While the card works well with pretty much any deck in the meta, when you put it in a Log Bait deck and switch up a few cards, it becomes pretty much unstoppable.
Here are the cards you’ll need for the Goblinstein Log Bait deck:
Goblinstein
This deck is made up almost entirely of cheap cards that do their job effectively both on offense and defense.Goblinstein is the only cardin this deck that costs five elixirs. However, since it’s a Champion card, whenever you have it on the field, you’ll activate the three-card cycle, allowing you to go through the deck even faster if you’ve got the elixir for it.
For your evolution cards, you’ll have the Evo Goblin Barrel and the Evo Skeleton. Like other Log Bait decks, your Evo Goblin Barrel is your primary win condition. However, if you get the Goblinstein Monster on the opponent’s tower, you can activate the Champion Ability to deal massive damage.
Dart Goblin is another way for you to get tower damage. If you’re able to get it to connect to the enemy tower, it can dish out a lot of damage. It’s also one of the best DPS cards at defense. For your spells, you’ve got Goblin Curse and Rage. While they’re not the best at damaging the enemy tower, they can offer some serious outplay potential if you manage to time them well.

One of the biggest weaknesses of most Log Bait decks is that they can struggle a bit defensively against decks with multiple spells. And since most Log Bait decks only use a single mini-tank, it can be hard to tackle abig push with something like a Pekkawhen you’re low on elixir, and your opponent takes out your main DPS with a low-cost spell. That’s where the Prince Rascals Log Bait variant comes in!
Rascals
This deck uses thesame old evolution comboof Goblin Barrel and Skeletons. But what makes this deck different from the other Log Bait variants is the addition of the Prince and Rascals. Both are fantastic mini-tanks with plenty of DPS to take down any win condition your opponent places on the field,including the Hog Rider.
With Prince charging down one lane and Rascals heading up another, you can also create decent dual-lane pressure, especially when you have the Evo Goblin Barrel in cycle. Dart Goblin can serve well both on offense and defense. You’ve got the combo of Rage and Goblin Curse for your spells.
Of course, this deck suffers from one major weakness–it can be pretty difficult to break through if your opponent can consistently counter the Goblin Barrel. Since your spells deal little to no damage on the tower, you must get good connections with the Goblin Barrel if you are to win the matchup.
