Time-gating is a common system for free-to-play gacha games likeInfinity Nikki. It’s meant to keep players playing at a steady pace and not complete everything on day one. InInfinity Nikki, this time-gate system comes in the form of Vital Energy, which is used tocollect rewards from the Realm Challenges.
One Realm, though, looks particularly peculiar since it grants Insight. But what does Insight do, and how players canget Insight fast inInfinity Nikki, is something that Stylists must figure out on the go.
1How To Get Insight
Insight is a type ofEXP inInfinity Nikkithat players can earn by performing specific tasks related to collecting materials. There are five types of Insight:
Players can get different numbers of Insights depending on the quality of the materials they’re taking, ranging from one to five Insights.

100 Insight
Materials inInfinity Nikkirespawn after 24 hours, so players can make Insight farming a daily task.
Players can also exchange theirVital Energy inInfinity Nikkiin the Realm of Nourishmentsto get Insights faster. As this one costs you Energy, it doesn’t count towards the daily capacity. Generally, it’s best to naturally farm insights daily in the wild, but players with limited time can use this feature to maximize their Insight EXP.
3What Are Insights For?
Insight is used to unlock some nodes in the Infinity Heart. Doing so will grant players an outfit sketch orthe ability tocollect Essence inInfinity Nikkifrom certain areas. In summary, here’s what players need to upgrade their Insight-related Infinity Heart nodes:

Get Essence from the Memorial Mountains and Florawish areas.

Collecting high-quality materials in the Memorial Mountains, Florawish, and Breezy Meadow offers a chance to earn double rewards.
While collecting Insight, some creatures may run away if players don’t sneak. In this case, players can simply teleport away then return, or exit to the main menu and re-enter. The creature will be back in the same spot.
4Chronos Trees
There are fiveChronos Trees locations in the Wishing Woods ofInfinity Nikki. Chronos Trees is where players can getSol Fruit, Stellar Fruit, and Maskwing. Sol Fruit and Stellar Fruit are purple-rarity materials that grant two Insights, whereas Maskwing is a blue-rarity bug that gives three Insights.
Sol Fruit is obtainable in the daytime, whereas Stellar Fruit is the nighttime version.
Visiting these five places will give players27 Sol Fruit/Stellar Fruit (54 Collection Insight) and 12 Maskwing (36 Bug-Catching Insight).
5Bullquet Habitat
Bullquet Habitat is located west of the Lakeside Hill Lane Warp Spire. There, players can catch three Bustleflies flying on the Bullquet’s head, then brush the Bullquet to get Bullquet Felt worth five Animal-Grooming Insights. Next,pass the time inInfinity Nikkito around midnight to spawn 12 more Bustleflies around the area.
In total, players will getfive Animal-Grooming Insights + 45 Bug-Catching Insights.
6Sockos
Players who are seeking higher-quality bugs can hunt the elusiveSocko inInfinity Nikki, available in seven spots around Florawish and Breezy Meadow. In total, players can accumulate35 Bug-Catching Insightsfrom the seven locations, on top of some nearby items like Wool Fruits.
7Astral Feather & Dawn Fluff
Purple materials not only give five Insights each but players can only collect some of them once per day. Take the Astral Feather andDawn Fox’s Dawn Fluff, for example. These items are only available from one creature each, capping the collection to one per day. Thankfully, the two majestic animals grant a total of10 Animal-Grooming Insights.
8Night Velvet, Rose Velvet, and Bibcoon Furball
Although they’re not rated as purple since they’re not considered legendary animals, theswans in Swan Gazeboand Bibcoon by the Bibcoon Club are also unique as only one of each exists on the map. Visiting these three spots will grantnine Animal-Grooming Insights.
9Stoneville - Floral Fleece And More
The next best place to earn Animal-Grooming Insight is Stoneville. Hunt the six (or seven if you want to walk far) Floral Fleece in the area to gain18 Animal-Grooming Insight. In the process, players can also brush the normal Florist Sheeps, or Bowlers, each granting one Insight; or the Beretsants, which gives two Insights.
If necessary, Stylists can alsogroom the Suspenders Weasels in the area. Each also gives three Insights. There are 11 of them nearby (12 if you walk far south), which means33 Animal-Grooming Insight. Additionally, this area is littered with bugs, making it the perfect place to collect all sorts of Insights.
10Stoneville & Stellar Fishing Ground
For Fishing Insight, players can first follow the river that flows through Stoneville. Each should grant four to seven Insights, meaning you may earn48 to 84 Fishing Insights, depending on your luck.
Afterward, head to the Stellar Fishing Ground where you can hunt the legendary Tulletail forfive Fishing Insights. Tulletail is only available in the ripple right in the middle of the island. There are 10 fishing spots here, which should complete the 100 Insights you need when combined with the Stoneville spots.
