Black Ops 4continues the tradition of some truly unique Wonder Weapons for the Zombies mode, as well as some returning classics that may or may not be better than their first iterations. WithBlack Ops 4Zombies featuring some remakes of classic maps along with their Wonder Weapons, and some entirely new entries with the Chaos storyline, players have quite the selection of powerfulWonder Weapons to look forward to.

While there might be a varied selection of Wonder Weapons, not all of them are exceptional choices to claim, so it’s a perfect time to rank allBlack Ops 4Wonder Weapons to see which one is the most important of the bunch to be the first to get, and which ones are better left to be spun in the Mystery Box once more.

12Wunderwaffe DG-Scharfschutze

A Sniper Variant of the Famed Wunderwaffe DG-2

The Wunderwaffe DG-Scharfschutze is effectively a de-grade of the Wunderwaffe DG-2, in which players have access to a familiar variant of thefamed second Wonder Weapon, albeit with a sniper scope and an affinity for headshots. With a higher ammo capacity and a magazine in the chamber, the Wunderwaffe DG-Scharfschutze is supposed to be used as a sniper rather than a horde killer.

The Wunderwaffe DG-Scharfschutze is pretty disappointing, as while it can still chain kill some zombies, it’s not nearly as powerful as its predecessor, and zombies will often remain zapped for quite a lengthy time before popping, and its need for headshots and tight hordes makes it underwhelming and risky to use on high rounds.

11Savage Impaler

A Gimmick Weapon That Fires Stakes to Kill Vampires

Dead of the Night has many interesting aspects to its design, but one of its more tedious ones is the Savage Impaler, a unique Wonder Weapon to the map that only has a specific gimmick, which is to basically one-shot vampires on any round. While it’s great to have a weapon to insta-kill vampires, it’s also worth noting that this fast enemy type doesn’t spawn as frequently as zombies.

The Savage Impaler alsohas its own questthat must be completed in order to obtain it, and the tediousness of said quest often means that most players in Dead of the Night aren’t going to bother trying it out, and that’s completely fair since while the ammo capacity might be large for a rapid-fire stake-shooter, the damage output on normal zombies simply isn’t good enough.

10Winter’s Howl

Freeze Zombies to Shatter Them

This Wonder Weapon unique to Fivereturns for its remake of Classified, where the Winter’s Howl actually comes out better than its predecessor thanks to a few buffs. While the Winter’s Howl still isn’t a godly weapon, it can be useful on the lower rounds due to the fact that a single shot will freeze any zombie within its vicinity, which allows them to be instantly killed by shattering them.

The fire rate is consistent with a decent revolver, but the damage definitely drops off on the later rounds, so while it might be fun to freeze zombies at the start, players will need to find something packed with more punch to avoid being trapped inescapable corners.

9Blundergat

A Deadly Shotgun with Elemental Variety

The Blundergat is a lot of fun to wield due to its potential as a buckshot shotgun, which allows players to truly decimate zombies with its single-shot capacity. However, withBlack Ops 4lacking Speed Cola and Double Tap, the Bludergat can be a tad tedious to use, as not only are players missing out on extra damage from Double Tap, but they are also going to experience a slow reload with every bullet due to the lack of Speed Cola.

Outside of the potential for Perk-a-Colas, the Blundergat is still great for its shotgun spread on hordes, and it can be made even greater with the upgraded variants of the Acidgat and the Magmagat. The former has a three-round burst that distracts zombies with splash projectiles, whereas the latter shoots vitally important and deadly lava rounds.

8Ray Gun

A World at War Classic Returns with a Headshot Twist

While the Ray Gun still features its usual firing modes and restrictions due to its slow fire rate and splash damage that can harm players, it also features a unique attribute only committed toBlack Ops 4, and that’s its headshot damage multiplier. With the Ray Gun, most players would use the splash damage to harm hordes and aim for the feet, thus creating an army of crawlers.

Yet, things are a tad different inBlack Ops 4, and the headshot damage of the Ray Gun far outweighs the necessity for its splash damage on groups. While it is nice to see the Ray Gun at a powerful state again, there are still other Wonder Weapons inBlack Ops 4worthy of a superior status.

7Kraken

An Explosive Three-Barelled Cannon

The Kraken is essentially a cannon wielded by players that can be used tokill any sea creaturethat dares attempt to board the Titanic. With a hand-held cannon with three rotating barrels, players are going to be able to fire out deadly cannonballs that have decent splash damage to send zombies flying, and it’s made even greater when one considers the four elemental upgrades made available to it.

The Breath of Leviathan provides fire projectiles, whereas the Grip of Akkorokamui shoots a straight line of ice to freeze zombies. There’s also Inkanyamba’s Roar which acts like an electrified shotgun, and Jormungandr’s Fang, which poisons enemies within the explosion. All of the variants are great, but the explosive capabilities of the Kraken are underwhelming when compared to the Mystery Box potential of the Hellion Salvo.

6Death of Orion

A Deadly Arachnid that Electrocutes Zombies

In essence, the Death of Orion is a scorpion and Chaos Story variant of the Wunderwaffe DG-2, except it can be charged for deadly effect. When using a charged shot, the Death of Orion will send out a deadly electrical sting that will zap zombies, chaining them to explode. A decent supply of ammo makes this fairly accessible, especially since players do not need to reload so that they can use a total of 45 shots before they are out of luck.

The fire rate isn’t too bad either, and those who do not want to rely on its capture beam method of charged shots can fire straight projectiles with its semi-automatic design, but the damage is far less, and some might want to choose a Wonder Weapon with a little more ammo.

5Ray Gun Mark 2

A Three-Round Burst Ray Gun with Unique Elemental Variants

While the Ray Gun Mark 2 can be obtained on every map that involves the Aether characters of Primis, Ultimis, and Victis, it’s one that doesn’t outshine the unique Wonder Weapons of specific maps until it hits the scene on Alpha Omega, where it becomes of vital importance thanks to not only its 3-round burst potential but its elemental variant upgrades.

The Ray Gun Mark 2 on Alpha Omega has four distinct models V, X, Y, and Z. For V, players have an electric beam that doesn’t require them to reload, as ammo naturally generates for the weapon which makes it fairly reliable for conserving ammo. The Mark X has plenty of ammo and is more of a rapid-fire SMG variant that can even be dual-wielded, but its lack of penetration makes it mediocre. The Mark Y can fire out charged explosive shots that can instantly eradicate hordes of undead, and the Mark Z acts as a shotgun variant.

4Elemental Hands

Primordial Weapons that Feature Lethal Melee Damage and Epic Firing Abilities

The often dubbed God Hands of Ancient Evil are very easy to obtain, as players simply need a Dormant Hand that can be found around the map, and then they need to take it to a specific shrine found across the map. With easy steps to claim and also easy steps to upgrade, these elemental Wonder Weapons in Ancient Evil provide a vital punch for surviving high rounds.

Most of the elemental hands have similar effects, as they can be used as both a melee weapon and a projectile weapon to shootdeadly abilities. Each projectile fired from the hand will unleash three projectiles to instantly eradicate zombies that were hit by the auto-targeting system, and upgrading them to their Redeemed and Exalted paths provides greater rewards in terms of ammo and damage.

3Thundergun

Insta-Kill Zombies at Close Range with a Wave of Air

Found in Tag der Toten, the Thundergun is an excellent choice for players who like to get close enough to smell the rotting breath of the flesh-eating zombies they are fighting against. It’s a poetic weapon from the early days of zombie killing that returns for the Aether finale, and its wave-based damage will instantly kill zombies at close range.

Blasting enemies back with 2 ammo per magazine (4 when Pack-a-Punched) is an absolute treat, and anyone who finds themselves in a sticky situation or trapped in a corner will want to blast the zombies away with this entirely lethal weapon that is a must-have for high-rounds.
