Details about what the conventions entail are currently quite limited. The announcement mentioned live entertainment, unique activities, and chances to meet developers of games in theWarcraftfranchise. From the sounds of it, these conventions will be focused on making memories and experiences, rather than big announcements orrevealing plans forWorld of Warcraftor its other games like BlizzCon andWarcraftDirect does.

Tickets are currently not available to purchase for these conventions – and from the sound of things, they may not actually go on sale. Described as “intimate gatherings,” Blizzard implied the tickets would be free and extremely limited, and that players would hear more information on how to obtain them from their regionalWarcraftchannels. Interested fans will have to keep an eye out to see how they might get access to these exciting events.

It remains to be seen if Blizzard is planning to hold BlizzCon this year, either in person or digitally.According toWorld of Warcraft’s roadmap, a late summer or early autumn BlizzCon would be the perfect place to show off content from theMidnightexpansion, including the long-awaited player housing systems. Though it opted not to do a BlizzCon in 2024, it didn’t say anything about subsequent years, implying Blizzard may be switching to a biannual convention model likeFinal Fantasy 14’s Fan Festival. Either way, players may still want to try and secure a ticket to theWarcraftWorld Tour, as it sounds like it will be a unique and exciting experience.

Warcraft

Warcraft is a franchise originally created by Blizzard Entertainment starting with Warcraft: Orcs and Humans in 1994 for PC and Mac. The original trio of titles were real-time strategy games featuring factions like Humans, Orcs, Undead, and Night Elves though the popularity and success of the franchise soon saw it expand into an MMO with World of Warcraft, card battling game Hearthstone, and other media like books, comics, as well as a 2016 film adaptation that was directed by Duncan Jones.
