However, the anime’s release is helping the series. In fact, the manga sold nearly 50k copies within just three days. This number is bound to improve further once the second cour begins airing.
Blue Box’s anime adaptation was announcedin November 2023. However, the anime premiered nearly a year later in October 2024. Official Hige Dandism’s Same Blue was the opening song for the first cour; meanwhile, Eve’s Teenage Blue was selected to be the ending song.
Blue Box focuses on Taiki Inomata, a student at Eimei Junior and Senior High. He is a member of the badminton team, but he is hardly considered an outstanding player. Taiki is aware of his shortcomings, which is why he goes to the gym early to train. His timing coincides with that of Chinatsu Kano, who leads a completely different life. Slowly, Taiki begins to develop a crush on her, which leads to the onset of an interesting relationship between the two.
