How To Get All Giant Crystal Items In Brighter Shores
While Dryad shows you the first magic source, Glowing Beetles, in the Overgrown Trail near the Crystal Clearing, the other three are scattered across Hopeforest, and you’ll have to track them down yourself. Here’s what you’ll need:

Tangled Briar Location In Brighter Shores
The clue for the second magic source is it’s beyondTangled Briar. At this point in the game, you haven’t unlocked this area yet. Thankfully, it’s not too far from Crystal Clearing. Simply return to the Overgrown Trail and turn south onto Bramble Path, which is blocked by large Hardy Brambles that you’ll need to clear by chopping them down.
Remember, players need to be at Woodcutter level eight and have a hatchet to complete this step. If you’re not there yet, you’ll need to chop down lower-level trees around Hopeforest to raise your rank in the profession. you’re able to also buy the Hatchet for 43Silver Coinsand 200 Bronze Coins from Morauce’s Pointy Implements, located in Timberwell Green.

How To Get Beyond The River In Brighter Shores
The last Giant Crystal Item, theGlowing Fern, can be found in the Ferry South Shore inBrighter Shores. Start from Timberwell Green, go right to Mine Road West, then head south to Tree Lined Trail, Tree Lined Track, and finally Hopeforest Ferry. There, you’ll meet the Ferryman, who will ask you torepair the boatbefore you can use it to cross the river.
To fix the ferry, you’ll need two Ash Planks. Simply cut down Ash Trees in Timberwell Green and process them using the Circular Saw at the Carpenter’s Workshop to collect them. Once you have the planks, return to the Ferryman at Hopeforest Ferry and repair the broken boat by tapping on it and selecting ‘Fix.’ Next, a cutscene will play, showing a massive Mutant Newt (a monster with 615 health) jumping onto the ferry and damaging it while you and the Ferryman are on the journey to cross the river. Whileit’s a high-level foe, you’re able to beat it by playing smartly.
Todefeat the Mutant Newt, avoid standing in the orange-tiled areas on the ferry and attack it with any available weapon. Depending on your weapon’s rarity, the fight may take some time. When the monster goes back to the river, quickly repair the areas of the ferry it damaged by clicking on them and selecting ‘Fix.’ Once the Newt is killed, you’ll reach the Ferry South Shore, where you’re able to find the Glowing Fern.
