Indie dating simulatorDate Everythingattracted attention as soon as it was announced for its bizarre and hilarious premise: the player character is able to date an entire house full of inanimate objects and even concepts such as rejection. However,Date Everythingis far more than a funny dating simulator. With a cast of 100 dateable characters, the game has become a “who’s who” of iconic video game actors, from its creators Ray Chase, Max Mittelman, and Robbie Daymond to the many characters recently announced via a holiday advent character on the game’s X account.
Many Iconic Actors Were Revealed Via Date Everything’s Advent Calendar
Over the course of the twelve days leading up to Christmas, the officialDate Everythingaccount on X, formerly Twitter, revealed over a dozen new characters. These new additions will be voiced by actors fromSonic the Hedgehog,Baldur’s Gate 3, The Legend of Vox Machina, and many more. Characters featured as part ofDate Everything’sadvent calendar include:
This Game Puts The Focus On Its Actors
WhileDate Everythingfeatures a colorful, eye-catching art style and plenty of humor - such as dozens of punny names and a rubber duck character who uses “duck” in place of other swear words - it is clear that the actors will be the focus. Each of theone hundred characterswill be fully voiced, and each dateable character will have at least three endings for players to experience.Date Everything’sfocus on acting and impressive cast of names could very well help it stand out among the best of the best of dating simulators.
The actors revealed in the Advent Calendar are far from the only big names taking part inDate Everything.Earlier, when revealingDelicious in Dungeon’sSungWon Cho to be voicing a bizarre all-white character possibly called Doug, theDate EverythingX account called the game “the Avengers of voice actors” - and this truly seems like an accurate statement. Other actors confirmed to be involved in the project include Laura Bailey, Ben Starr, Bryce Papenbrook, Felicia Day, and more. Chase and Daymond will also be voicing characters in the game - a candelabra and a group of coat hangers named “the Hanks,” respectively.

It comes as no surprise that so many actors have eagerly lent their voices toDate Everything. The game kicks off with the player character losing their job and being replaced by AI, something whichDate Everythingstands fully against from the very first moment. Replacement by AI is currently a major concern for actors, with the possibility that their voices and likenesses will be illegally and unethically captured and re-used. Some ofDate Everything’scast members havepreviously spoken out against the use of AI in video gamesand other creative media.
Date Everythingalready sets itself apart fromother games in its genreby its premise alone. But the game’s dedication to becoming a “who’s who” of actors who will effectively and capably bring its massive cast of dateable characters to live could potentially beDate Everything’sgreatest strength. Fans will be able to experience the game’s star-studded cast whenDate Everythinglaunches on Valentine’s Day 2025.
