Dead by Daylightrecently revealed two codes that unlock free rewards, ranging from cosmetic items to in-game currency. Initially released in 2016,Dead by Daylightis an online multiplayer title with survival horror gameplay, which is currently available on PC, console, and mobile platforms.
Despite a shaky start,Dead by Daylighthas significantly grown in popularity over the years, attracting tens of thousands of unique players every day. The thrill of playing a cat-and-mouse game between a Killer and a group of Survivors seems to resonate well with many gamers, as the Behaviour Interactive-developed game is still very popular over eight years after launch. In fact,Dead by Daylighthas a 24-hour peak concurrent player count of over44,000 users on Steamalone at the time of this writing. To foster the game’s growth, the Canadian studio also routinely announces updates and collaborations that add new themed content into the mix, including skins inspired by pop culture mainstays liketheAlienfranchise.
On Twitter, the officialDead by Daylighthandle posted a pair of codes to be entered into the in-game store for claiming free rewards. Firstly, entering “IFLOOKSCOULDCHILL” unlocks a set of Frosty Eyes Cosmetics, which allows players to equip icy blue glowing eyes on their character. On the other hand, “MAKEITREINDEER” adds 250K Bloodpoints to the player’s account, which isDead by Daylight’s in-game currencyused for upgrading the title’s playable characters. Importantly, the latter code is only valid before June 30, 2025, and was announced as compensation for the now-resolved issues impacting the game’s ongoing Bone Chill event.
Apart from the aforementioned free in-game goodies, there are other limited-time unlockables available inDead by Daylightas part of the Bone Chill event which ends on January 7 at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT. These items include winter-themed outfits, weapons, charms, log-in bonuses, and more. While the freebies may offer a one-time incentive for players to dive into the multiplayer title, the event-related bonuses could help keep them engaged for the better part of the holiday season. Certainly, these two combined provide a good opportunity forDead by Daylightplayers to quickly accumulate Bloodpoints, which come in handy for character progression.
Thanks to its fame, theDead by DaylightIP has also previously been adapted into other formats, such as comic books and board games released in 2023. Its next adaptation is set to be a major film, with the project helmed by horror film veterans Jason Blum and James Wan. Although there is no word on when fans can expect the film to hit the big screen, Blum shared that theDead by Daylightmovie adaptation’s scriptcould take anywhere between one and five years to create back in October 2024.
