Now, CD Projekt Red has revealed that December 10, which marks the four-year anniversary of the game’s launch, will have a stream focused on the upcoming Update 2.2 forCyberpunk 2077, starting at 5 pm CET. Unfortunately, the developers have yet to reveal the new content being introduced in the update, and CDPR’s global community directorMarcin Momot only confirmeda couple of changes that will not be available. One of them is thatCyberpunk 2077will not receive a PS5 Pro update, as previously stated by CDPR, and the other is that the 2.2 update will not offer a New Game Plus. In any case, Momot promised “some other cool stuff in the oven” for the stream.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.2 Livestream Date and Time
This is not the onlyCyberpunk 2077-related news to surface recently. Last month, CD Projekt Red confirmed that anotherCyberpunk 2077animation project is currently being developed with Netflix. The previousCyberpunk: Edgerunnerswas a huge hit, so it makes sense to continue the trend by releasing a new animation. Unfortunately, no more details have been provided regarding the project, which will not necessarily be a direct sequel toEdgerunners, which was planned as a complete story from the start.
Despite the upcoming update forCyberpunk 2077, CDPR’s main focus at the moment is the nextWitchergame. Back in November, the developer revealed thatThe Witcher 4has entered full-scale production, and most of the resources of the Polish studio will be focused on its completion. At the moment, it’s still unknown when the fourth installment of theWitcherfranchise will be released, but this news could indicate that the project will not be available before 2026, considering how lengthy the development of huge, open-world games tends to be. Hopefully, CDPR will bring more information about the upcoming entry of the popular franchise soon, though.
