Tokyo Ghoul started serializing inthe Weekly Young Jump in September 2011. The manga continued to run in the magazine till September 2014. Subsequently, Sui Ishida announced a sequel called Tokyo Ghoul: re in October 2014. It is set two years after the events of the original manga, and it introduces a brand-new cast of characters.
