Studio Wildcard released extensive details about the upcomingARK: Survival AscendedChristmas event onSteam, which is called Winter Wonderland. It’s set to launch on December 23, running until June 12, 2025, giving players plenty of time to get involved. Over the course of the event, players will be able to discover new creatures, such as the RaptorClaus, Abominable Snowman, Santa’s Big Helper Yeti, and more, many of which drop exclusive items like Coal and Mistletoe. Winter Wonderland is Coming to ARK: Survival Ascended on December 23
Much of the content is very similar to the Winter Wonderland event held in the game last year, with chibis, emotes, and skins returning. However, each category has new content across the board, so even players who did the event last year have something new to discover this time around. Gamers who want to play Winter Wonderland in single-player will need to install the event as anARK: Survival Ascendedmod, but this is done easily from the game’s main menu. When it’s live, it will also be available to add on private servers by adding the mod ID “927090” to the server command-line launch arguments.
Over four years since its announcement, andARK 2seems no closer to release at this point.ARK 2has faced several large delays, although news on when the game is set to hit Early Access is impossible to come by. As of the most recent update, it was set for late 2024, although the window on meeting this date is very swiftly closing, so players shouldn’t expect it at this point. Hopefully, 2025 is the year when players get an all-newARKexperience beyondSurvival EvolvedandAscended.
