The iconic tabletop game has been celebrating its 50th anniversary throughout 2024. As part of these year-long festivities, Wizards of the Coast debuted a wide variety of new offerings, includinga newDungeons and Dragons Player’s Handbook, which became the fastest-selling product in the history of the long-running franchise.

In a late December 2024 blogpost, a Wizards of the Coast representative reflected on some of these undertakings and thanked the fans for their ongoing support, in addition to teasing what’s next in store for the megapopular tabletop. The move saw the company reiterate thatDungeons and Dragons'2025Monster Manualis scheduled to hit the market on February 18, with this release being intended to mark the official conclusion of the year-long 50th anniversary celebrations.
New Dungeons and Dragons Events Are Already Confirmed for 2025
Wizards of the Coast is also planning a number ofDungeons and Dragonsevents for the upcoming year. Some such initiatives will see the Hasbro subsidiary merely support more comprehensive events, like Universal’s Fan Fest Nights, which are scheduled to take place between late April and mid-May 2025 and are already confirmed to haveDnDcontent. At other times,DnDwill be the sole star of the show, as will be the case withThe Twenty-Sided Tavern, a theatrical play that debuted in spring 2024 and is planned to continue in existing locations while also expanding to new theaters throughout 2025.
Not All DnD 2025 Plans Have Yet Been Announced
Wizards of the Coast’s year-in-review post also saw the company reveal thatDungeons and Dragonsfans have even more things to look forward to in 2025, confirming that not all of its plans for the following years have yet been announced. It’s presently unclear when the Hasbro-owned group plans to share more details on the matter.
2024 saw Wizards of the Coast embark on some unconventional undertakings, likegiving the green light for aDungeons and Dragons-themed LEGO set, partnering with Koi on women’s footwear, and releasing a limited-edition bourbon in collaboration with Dragon’s Milk. While all of these initiatives were framed as part of the series' jubilee celebrations, the reactions to some of them were positive enough to suggest that even more experimental products of this sort might be on the cards in the foreseeable future.
