Elden Ringpublisher Bandai Namco confirmed on its official Twitter account thatNightreignwill be getting a network test. Registration for the test will open on January 10. Bandai Namco states that selected players will get to play a portion of thebrand-newElden Ringadventureprior to its release date later next year. This test will help Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware monitor technical aspects of the upcoming title, withElden Ring Nightreignset to be one of the studio’s most online-intensive games.

According to Bandai Namco,Nightreignis a “standalone adventure within theElden Ringuniverse.” The upcoming game is designed to offer players a fresh and new experience by “reimagining” the base design of the originalElden Ring.Co-op has always been a core feature of FromSoftware titles, butNightreignseeks to make an online play with others integral to the game itself, letting up to three players take on “the creeping night.”
