Crunchyroll has officially announced seven anime that it will stream in Winter 2025, which will begin in January. Five of the titles were just announced this past week, with the other twohaving been previously announced. Grisaia: Phantom Triggeris a sequel anime that will air from the start of January. The story began back in 2015 with the animeGrisaia no Rakuen, which was followed by two anime movies,Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animationin 2019 and its sequelGrisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation - Stargazerin 2020. Now five years later, the latest chapter in the story will be told inGrisaia: Phantom Trigger.
Grisaia: Phantom Triggerfollows the story of several characters who are students at amilitary training schoolcalled SORD (Special Organization for Research and Development). The school is only for girls, and they learn skills to complete missions too dangerous and complex for even the Self-Defence Force and the police.Grisaia: Phantom Triggertells the exploits of these six girls, Rena, Maki, Tohka, Gumi, Chris, and Murasaki, as they take on these missions and continue to hone their special skill sets.

Farmagiais a newanime based on a gameof the same name. It is a fantasy anime set in a world where humans befriend monsters, all while living in a society ruled by an evil overlord. The characters live on farms, which serve as bases for them to go out adventuring and exploring, and gathering resources to take back to their homes.
The main character ofFarmagiais a young man named Ten, who, along with his friends, is trying to battle against the overlord. They live in the land of Felicidad, which used to have a benevolent ruler. Upon that ruler’s death, though, power was seized by Glaza, who has since started a repressive regime over the residents of Felicidad. As Ten and his friends gather resources, explore the Underworld, and gather and train monsters, they prepare to battle against the armies of Glaza and restore Felicidad to what it once was.
Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongestis the latestanime with a long and funny titleto come out, telling a fantasy story that is sprinkled with light-hearted humor and adventure. It is set in a world where the gods control the destiny of citizens by assigning them their jobs (which are much like character classes) from birth. The implication is that people have very little choice about what they become - even strong citizens cannot become heroes if they were not assigned that kind of job at birth, no matter what their skills may be.
Ein is one such citizen, who was unluckily assigned as an “appraiser” when he was born. This is one of the roles in society that is the furthest from being a hero, which is what Ein wishes he could be. When he is abandoned by the other adventures he has been traveling with, Ein is ready to give up on his dream of ever being a hero. However, he starts to learn that actually, his role as an appraiser is more important than he could have ever imagined - and it may be the one that puts him on the path to becoming a hero after all.

Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another Worldis an isekai, as can beinferred from the anime’s title. It follows main character Theon, a 30-year-old man who died unexpectedly only to be reborn in a new world. Unlike usual isekai stories, though, the new world he was born into did not have magic. At first, Theon was depressed by his knowledge, disappointed that even in a new world, magic seemed not to exist.
That is, until he discovered that there was magic in the new world after all - he just had to create it himself. Theon devotes himself to studying everything he can about magic, with the determination that he would make magic himself and bring it to the people of the world. As he fights against a disease that can only be cured by magic, and fights enemies that can only be defeated by magic, Theon carves out a place for himself in this new world.

Unnamed Memory Act.2is the sequel to 2024 animeUnnamed Memory. It tells the next part of the story of Prince Oscar Lyeth Increatos Loz Farsas, a man who was cursed by a witch that no woman would ever be able to bear him a child. A witch named Tinasha revealed to him that the only way to counteract the curse was to find a woman who could counteract the effects of it.
The only woman who could do that was Tinasha herself, though, and while she refuses to marry Oscar when he asks, she does agree to travel with him and help him try to find a way to lift the curse. Not much more about the story inUnnamed Memory Act.2has been revealed yet, but the anime will continue the story of the first season. It will be more of Oscar and Tinasha on their adventure together, fighting enemies, meeting old acquaintances, and trying to find a seemingly impossible cure to Oscar’s curse.
Crunchyroll will be airing all of these anime starting in January 2025, likely alongside their releases in Japan. It is a good selection of anime across several genres, but does have more fantasy anime than anything else. Fantasy anime fans will be happy to hear that for sure, with several different anime to choose from. Everything on Crunchyroll will be released with at least English subtitles, making themaccessible, legal, and easy to watchfor the Winter 2025 anime season.
