According to a recent interview withFamitsu(viaTwisted Voxel),FF7 Remake’s director Naoki Hamaguchi has revealed that the development of the final entry is “progressing well,” and the team would like to take on new challenges to further expand the fanbase. Unfortunately, Hamaguchi did not provide any new details about the game, but asked fans to “please wait a little longer” for more announcements.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3’s Director Confirms Game is “Progressing Well”
This is the latest of a fewcomments Hamaguchi shared about the upcomingFF7 Remake: Part 3. Back in November, the director and the producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the game’s plot is already entirely mapped out and that its pre-production phase is complete. At the time, he also confirmed that gamers would be able to fly with the airship around the map, emulating what they were able to do in the original game.
Before the end of the trilogy is available, however,gamers will be able to playFinal Fantasy 7: Rebirthon PC. The game recently had its PC port confirmed for January 23, and gamers can already pre-order it. It’s also possible that theFF7trilogy may come to Xbox Series X/S eventually, as Square Enix recently showed interest in reaching more platforms, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
While the development of the last entry in the trilogy happens, the developers are still supporting the first two games. Last week,Final Fantasy 7 RemakeandRebirthalso received new updates, which fixed DualSense vibration issues on both games.
