Summary
Gamers have deciphered the letters carved into Vader’s Katana pickaxe inFortnite, and it’s not what they expected.Fortnitehas collaborated with major franchises over the years, and there are a few that stand out in terms of frequency and quantity. Marvel Comics andStar Warsare two names that have appeared inFortnitemore regularly in the past few years, being featured in passes, crossovers, and seasonal events, and making several appearances in the Item Shop with all sorts of cosmetics.
The most recent collaboration betweenStar WarsandFortnitewas on December 24 when the Item Shop refreshed and theSamuraiStar Warsskins became available inFortnite. TheStar WarsSamurai set includes the Darth Vader Samurai skin, Vader’s Katana pickaxe and back bling, the Stormtrooper Samurai skin, an Imperial Banner back bling, Trooper’s Kamayari pickaxe, the Lil' TIE Attack emote, and the Trooper Samurai and Vader Samurai wraps.

Samurai Darth Vader’s Katana is something that caught the attention of many fans because of the red, glowing runes carved into its blade. The alphabet of the Sith runic language, also known as ur-Kittat, can be translated into the Latin alphabet. A fan has captured the ur-Kittat characters in the blade and translated them into Latin letters, hoping to find aStar WarsEaster egg, but they were quite disappointed with the results.
What Does the Text on Darth Vader’s Katana Say?
As it turns out, the ur-Kittat characters can be translated to “PRUGJSNZIAWCDKGPJAD,” which means nothing at all, or so it seems. Some gamers thought this could mean more than just a random combination of letters and tried to search for it in the YouTube URL bar or on theV-Bucks code redemption page, but it led nowhere. While most have accepted that this is probably nothing, others are confident that it will eventually be relevant in the future to decipher a code or something of the sort.
Epic Games has insertedfun Easter eggs inFortnitebefore, so it’s definitely strange that it missed out on this golden opportunity. However, who knows what the future holds forFortniteandStar Wars? Thiscould turn out to be more than it seems at the moment. With the Winterfest event coming to an end on January 7, Epic has probably already started thinking about the next big thing coming toFortnite, and it might just be related to the mysterious code on Samurai Darth Vader’s Katana.
