Jujutsu Kaisengives plenty of attention to its characters' stats and abilities. Furthermore, with so much plot to cover, the anime can’t divulge much of the personal lives of Jujutsu High’s faculty and students. Fortunately, Gege Akutami gives dedicated fans the full scoop inJujutsu Kaisen: The Official Character Guide.
Akutami’s guidebook provides plenty of behind-the-scenes trivia about fan-favorite characters, including chronicled interviews, detailed character Q&As, and chapter commentary. So, what details does the JJK fanbook divulge? Are any of Jujutsu High’s teachers dating? Who is the best cook? Who can hold their liquor, and who can’t? You’ll have to keep reading to find out!

Jujutsu High’s Students and Faculty Are Singles
One Faculty Member Is Divorced
JJK viewers watched Nobara and Megumi set up Yuji and Yuka in season 2, episode 30, “It’s Like That.” And the unrequited love Mechamaru holds for Miwa is a significant B-plot. But are other characters in a situation where “it’s like that?”
Akutami said only oneJujutsu High faculty member was married, Masamichi Yaga. However, he is now divorced. The mangaka does not divulge whether his ex-partner is a sorcerer or not.

Otherwise, according to Akutami, all of Jujutsu High’s faculty and students are bachelors, which is why they can cook and clean after themselves. (Sorry, YutaMaki fans. There are no confirmations for you. There is no news for you either, SatoSugus.)
For those interested in Nobara Kugisaki, Akutami revealed her likes in a partner. When asked what type of man is her type, Akutami responded with Oda Nobunaga. A brash leader with a short fuse who practices martial arts? Yup. That sounds compatible with Kugisaki’s temperament.

Akutami’s guide showcases his characters' limited flirting skills. In the “Tell Us! Akutami Sensei Collection” section, the author confirms that Itadori was not popular at his old school because the girls interested in him did not know how to communicate their feelings. So, he likely has no idea when someone has a crush on him.
Megumi Fushigoro is another exampleof someone severely lacking in the dating game. When asked how the prodigy sorcerer would reject someone interested in him, Akutami responded with, “I’m sorrrrrrrrrrrrrry.” Oof. That’s awkward.

Yuji Has Several Talents Besides Fighting
He’s a Wiz in the Kitchen
While Yuji is renowned for his physical talentsand ability as a vessel, he also has several hidden talents. When asked about the karaoke Juju Stroll in volume 2, Akutami claimed that Yuji is the best singer in his friend group.
Itadori also boasts top chef skills in the kitchen. In the section “Group Character Q & A,” Akutami responded to a question regarding Itadori’s cooking:
Satoru Gojo Is a Lightweight
One of the silliest snippets from Akutami’s “Group Character Q & A” is a breakdown of the teacher’s drinking habits. Each category of drinker received Akutami’s first-place choice and a runner-up.
Satoru Gojo
❌
Who would have thought that one of jujutsu sorcery’s most potent sorcerers couldn’t handle his alcohol? Although, once you think about it, Gojo’s low tolerance makes sense.Someone with Six Eyesmust feel alcohol’s effects more acutely due to their heightened senses.
Utahime ranking ahead of Naobito as the sloppiest drinker is more surprising. One would assume Naobito would rank first, considering he spent all of the Shibuya Incident intoxicated.
Shoko and Kento’s ranking as the heaviest drinkers makes the most sense. Usually, the heaviest drinkers are best at keeping their composure - and those two know how to stay calm. Plus, Shoko smokes cigarettes, andaccording to the National Institute of Health, smokers are 1.32 times more likely to drink than non-smokers.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Based on Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga, Mappa’s battle shonen anime envisions a world where Jujutsu Sorcerers battle against entities born out of Cursed Energy. One day, a teenager named Yuji Itadori is dragged into this conflict when he eats a possessed finger.
