Genshin Impacthas introduced a new Blessing for the Spiral Abyss in its latest beta build, which could hint at a potential rerun for Ayato, Xianyun, or Itto. While the Spiral Abyss may no longer be the sole endgame activity inGenshin Impact, it remains a popular aspect of the game, providing consistent Primogem rewards and often shaping the title’s meta. The Spiral Abyss changes each month, and the upcoming version in January 2025 is expected to introduce the Solitary Suanni to Floor 12.
While someSpiral Abyss trends inGenshin Impacthave been controversial, such as increasing the hit points of the enemies on Floor 12, there have been positive changes too. Most notably, the Natlan era inGenshin Impactfinally introduced a way for players to skip certain Floors in the Spiral Abyss. Furthermore, Version 5.3 is expected to bring back Blessings to Floor 12.
Though Blessings in Version 5.3 will greatly favor Pyro characters, a recent (and unused) buff wasdatamined via HomDGCat. Despite not being yet confirmed, this Spiral Abyss Blessing is likely reserved for Version 5.4. It provides a stacking buff to damage done by Normal Attacks, and causes Charged or Plunging Attacks to unleash shockwaves. Given that theSpiral Abyss inGenshin Impactcan often hint at character reruns on the Event Banner, there are a few candidates for whom this buff will benefit.
Genshin Impact: New Spiral Abyss Blessing
The stacking buff for Normal Attacks would work wonders with a character likeAyato inGenshin Impact, who hasn’t been featured on the Event Banners since Version 4.2. On the other hand, characters such as Xianyun and Itto would be able to excel with the buff to Charged Attacks and Plunging Attacks. Given that a new Beetle Brawl event is coming toGenshin Impactin Version 5.3, and since Xianyun is skipping the Event Banners for that patch, it makes her the most likely candidate to get a rerun in Version 5.4.
On the other hand, the same can be said for Itto, as the Beetle Brawl largely centers on his character. Possible dark horse candidates include Yoimiya and Wriothesley, as both characters haven’t had reruns in a while, and both characters can make use of either Spiral Abyss buff. It should be noted that Mizuki is being introduced in Version 5.4 as a newStandard Banner character inGenshin Impact. With Itto, Ayato, Yoimiya, and Mizuki all being from Inazuma, Version 5.4 could potentially end up focusing on the Electro Nation once again.
