Genshin Impacthas officially revealed the complete kit details for the upcoming Pyro version of the Traveler. At the start of each playthrough,Genshin Impactrequires players to choose between two characters, Aether and Lumine, who ultimately become the main protagonist of their journey, better known as the Traveler.
Whichever choice players make, the main goal of their journey is to find their lost sibling. Apart from that, the choice does not impact the storyline. Besides being central to the main storyline, the Traveler is also notable for being the only character who can control multiple elements inGenshin Impact.
With the release of each major region, HoYoverse has introduced a new element for the Traveler. Since the Natlan region’s arrival, players have eagerly awaited the introduction of a Pyro version of the main character. The recent Special Program event forGenshin ImpactUpdate 5.3confirmed that the Pyro Traveler will arrive in the next update. HoYoverse’s officialannouncementrevealed most of the Pyro Traveler’s kit, detailing their skills and overall playstyle. To activate the Pyro Resonance for Aether or Lumine, players will need to complete the “Where All Hopes Lie” quest in Archon Chapter 5. Since Natlan’s introduction, fans have hoped that the Pyro Traveler would possess decent supportive abilities.
Genshin Impact: Pyro Traveler Kit Explained
According to the announcement, their Elemental Skill will have both a tap and a hold variation. Tapping the skill will summon a Blazing Threshold that follows the active character and deals Pyro damage to nearby enemies. Holding the Elemental Skill will summon a Scorching Threshold, which launches coordinated attacks with the active character, also dealing Pyro damage. After using the Elemental Burst,Genshin Impact’s Pyro Travelerwill deal Nightsoul-aligned AoE Pyro damage to several targets in front.
The burst will also restore the Traveler’s Nightsoul points periodically after being used. Players will be also be able to obtain free constellation points for the new version of the Traveler. The announcement mentioned that completing the “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection” quest and offering using the Throne of Primal Fire will further enhance the character’s Pyro abilities, likely indicating newconstellation levels inGenshin Impact.
Many players hope that the Pyro Traveler will outperform the Hydro version, introduced in the Fontaine region, which is widely considered the weakest form of this character. The Dendro Traveler remains arguably the most powerful version, even briefly serving as a meta pick before HoYoverse introduced more powerful Dendrosupport characters toGenshin Impact.
