A recent chart has revealed whichGenshin Impactcharacters are the most popular among players who have fully cleared the Spiral Abyss in Version 5.2. With over 90 characters inGenshin Impact, players are able to pick from a diverse cast to build their team. While overworld content can be tackled by just about any character, challenging the Spiral Abyss does require having a proper build. Certain characters inGenshin Impact, such as Furina and Kazuha, have become mainstays in the meta due to being able to provide powerful teamwide bonuses. More often than not, players have far more flexibility in choosing a hypercarry than choosing the right support.
Version 5.1 addedXilonen toGenshin Impact, a universal support that specifically works with non-Anemo and non-Dendro characters. She left a mark on the meta almost instantaneously, as many Spiral Abyss teams wanted to make use of her buffs. With Dendro and Anemo having already established their premium support characters, Xilonen suddenly provided an answer for Hydro, Electro, Cryo, and Pyro beyond just Kazuha. With her second Constellation, Xilonen also became viable for Geo teams or Navia Plunge builds, further solidifying herself as an exceptionally versatile teammate.
Thanks to hxg_diluc, players can now have an overview of whichGenshin Impactcharactersare owned by accounts that have cleared the Spiral Abyss in Version 5.2. To no one’s surprise, Kazuha, Furina, and Nahida stand at the top of the chart. Whereas Kazuha has enjoyed frequent reruns since Version 3.7, what makes Furina’s 93.4% ownership rate so impressive is that she has only had one rerun since her original banner. Archon characters inGenshin Impacttend to be popular by default, but Furina’s rise to stardom has been an outlier by any standard.

While the presence of Standard Banner characters makes sense, given the method of obtaining one, it should be noted thatsupport characters inGenshin Impactcontinue to be highly valued by endgame players. When building one’s roster inGenshin Impact, it is important to always have more supporting characters than hypercarries, as the vast majority of main DPS tend to work best on their own. According to the chart, the top five hypercarries appear to be: Neuvillette, Ayaka, Hu Tao, Arlecchino, and Navia.
Ayaka’s presence on the chart does her credit, as theCryo element inGenshin Impacthas seen better days. Despite being the most popular C6 character inGenshin Impact, Chiori is owned by only 11.3% of the sampled players. While she has powerful Constellations in her ability kit, Chiori is made with Geo teams in mind – which remains a niche element, despite having popular support characters such as Zhongli and Xilonen. One thing to keep an eye out for is how much Mavuika and Citlali will affect the numbers on the chart. The former is expected to be an extremely powerful hypercarry, while the latter is going to be a 5-Star Shield Support. Version 5.3 is set to launch on June 04, 2025.
