WhileGenshin Impactplayers have plenty of content to look forward to in Version 5.3, the team at HoYoverse has offered a glimpse of what to expect in the remainder of Natlan’s updates. Citlali, Mavuika, and Lan Yan are set to join the playable cast in Version 5.3, but there are two more major chapters to cover before the doors of Snezhnaya open in September 2025.
The first will focus on the Collective of Plenty, featuring characters such as Varesa and Iansan, while the second chapter will revolve around the semi-independent region of Nod-Krai, which connects the other nations of Teyvat to Snezhnaya. While a list ofupcomingGenshin Impactcharacterscan be discovered within the game’s files, it notably contains incomplete information.
ThoughGenshin Impacthasn’t outright revealed the future characters in the recent livestream, the high-quality image shared on the official Twitter account can help put the puzzle pieces together. Seven characters will be released between Version 5.4 and Version 5.7, with two of them being male 4-stars, and one of them being a major lore figure. The silhouette of the middle character is unmistakably Skirk, who is the master ofTartaglia inGenshin Impact, and a mysterious swordswoman associated with the Abyss.

Given that there willno male 5-star characters inGenshin Impactfor the remainder of Natlan, it can safely be assumed that Dahlia is a 4-star as well. He was initially leaked during the Fontaine era as the deacon of the Church of Favonius, and players are hoping that Dahlia will be Mondstadt’s first Dendro character. On the other hand, Ifa was teased extensively by Natlan as Ororon’s friend and veterinarian of the Flower-Feather Clan. Lastly, Varesa was name-dropped on the notice boards in Natlan, while Mizuki is rumored to have ties with the People of the Springs.
This teaser alsoconfirms Capitano’s fate inGenshin Impact, as he will not be a playable character during the Natlan era (if at all). Instead of Capitano, the unknown character for Version 5.6 has turned out to be the previously-leaked Fontaine girl, who may potentially be tied to the Fortress of Meropide. While there is a chance that Capitano will be playable in Snezhnaya,Genshin Impactplayers will have to wait until at least September 2025 to find out more.
