The new skin features a much lighter palette compared to Hu Tao’s original darker outfit, which reflects her association with the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Although many fans expected the skin to become available in the second part of the update, the announcement confirmed that players would be able to obtain it onceGenshin ImpactVersion 5.3launches. The only way to acquire this skin is through the in-game shop. Fortunately, it will be offered at a discounted price of 1,350 Genesis Crystals during a special promotion running from the start of Version 5.3 until February 10. After this period, the price will revert to the regular 1,680 Genesis Crystals.
Genshin Impact: How To Unlock Hu Tao Skin
The skin’s official description also revealed that it was a gift from anotherPyro user inGenshin Impact, Liyue’s fan-favorite Xiangling. Xiangling will also receive a new outfit, which will apparently be available for free. However, unlike Hu Tao’s outfit, which will become available immediately with Version 5.3, Xiangling’s skin is expected to arrive alongside the Lantern Rite Festival, featured in the second part of the update. To obtain Xiangling’s new outfit, players will likely need to complete a few simple quests.
Players should act quickly to obtain Xiangling’s skin, as, if HoYoverse follows its usual pattern, the outfit will only be free duringGenshin Impact’s Lantern Rite Festival. After the event ends, the skin will likely be available exclusively through the in-game shop. Players have praised HoYoverse for adding new outfits to popular characters, such as the beloved Liyue duo.
