GTA Onlineis vastly popular and ever-evolving, almost unrecognizable from its humble beginnings. With its many updates, there have been aplethora of additional vehicles, some of which double as operation centers that allow for wider utility. These vehicles, such as the Mobile Operations Center, Kosatka, Avenger, and Terrorbyte, can be upgraded with various additional features and weapons.
One of these utility vehicles, theTerrorbyte, was added as part of the After Hours update in 2018. It is an armored vehicle that has a series of optional upgrades, each of which offers increased utility or a new form of offensive weapon. In December 2024, an update titledAgents of Sabotagewas released. This update has seen the Terrorbyte become a main focus once more, as players purchase a garment factory that allows them to access missions and further upgrade the Terrorbyte. This means that the Terrorbyte has a multitude of potential upgrades, and as such, players should be aware of which ones are the best to obtain.
6Collectible Scanner
Makes A Tedious Task Easier
Collectibles have always been an element ofGrand Theft Auto Online. They are hidden collectible items that often reward money and RP for each individual item collected, and then a larger prize when each collectible in a given category is collected. Each update brings about a series of new collectibles, meaning the feat of finding them all isn’t for the faint of heart.
This is why the new collectible scanner for the Terrorbyte is an incredibly useful upgrade. The scanner costs 1.29 million dollars andshows a radar scan on the mini-map that shows a blip whenever the player is near a collectible. This, in conjunction with an online map showing the rough collectible locations, ensures a precise and efficient way to find all collectible items inGTA Online.
5Turret Station
Unleash A Missile Barrage
Most operations center-style vehicles inGTA Onlinehave access to some form of weapons system. This allowstheir incredibly defensive shellto also provide some offense, rendering them far more capable of traversing throughout Los Santos.
The Terrorbyte is no different in this regard, offering players the ability to fit the vehicle with a turret station through the Warstock website. This turret station costs 297,000 dollars and allows players to access a seat in the back of the Terrorbyte thatallows for use of a missile system. These missiles can lock onto targets and reload fairly quickly, offering respectable offensive output against hostile vehicles.
4Weapon Workshop
Upgrade Weapons On The Go
The weapons workshop is one of the most common optional additions inGTA Online, eligible for installment on the Mobile Operations Center, Avenger, Kosatka, and the Terrorbyte. It was first addedin the Gunrunning updatetoGTA Onlinein 2017, and has since been iterated upon.
Players can install the Weapon Workshop into their Terrorbyte for 245,000 dollars through the Warstock website. This weapons workshop is incredibly useful andallows players to obtainsome of the best firearmsin the gameby upgrading base weapons to their Mark 2 variants. If players do not yet have a weapons workshop, then adding one to the Terrorbyte is a must.
3Drone Station
Access To Drones And More Terrorbyte Missions
The Drone Station in the Terrorbyte was a fun and unique feature, released at the launch of the vehicle. Players can purchase the drone station from the Warstock website for 815,000 dollars. It allows players todeploy and use drones whilst sitting in the back of the Terrorbyte.
Not only are the drones useful surveillance, allowing players to fly them up to 250m away from the Terrorbyte, but they also have the ability to either shock or detonate. The drones themselves are not the most useful in isolation, but their benefit comes from what the drones allow players to do. After purchasing the Drone Station, players can then access two more client jobs: the Targeted Data and Diamond Shopping jobs.
2Master Control Terminal
Manage Businesses From Anywhere
The Master Control Terminal is one of the most useful modern GTA Online additions. Itallows players toaccess the Open Road, a system that allows therestocking of any businesswithout visiting in person.Players can either purchase stock or launch the resupply mission from whatever facility or vehicle they have the Master Control Terminal in.
Introduced for the Terrorbyte with theAgents of Sabotageupdate, players can purchase a Master Control Terminal that is located in the back of the Terrorbyte. This costs 1.25 million dollars if players do not already have an arcade Master Control Terminal. For those that don’t have the arcade, and even for ones that do, a mobile Master Control Terminal alone makes the Terrorbyte an incredibly useful vehicle.
1Specialized Workshop
Obtain And Upgrade The Infamous Oppressor MK2
The Oppressor MK1 was a vehicle release in the Gunrunning update. It fundamentally changed the wayGTA Onlinewas played, and infamously shifted the meta. As great as the Oppressor MK1 still is, Rockstar later released a far more versatile and intuitive vehicle in the form of the Oppressor MK2.
Players can purchase the Specialized Workshop for the Terrorbyte from the Warstock website, costing 495,000 dollars. Thisallows them to purchase and modify the Oppressor MK2,facilitating their ability to access the best vehicle inGTA Online. Despite not being a massively wide range of utility, the sheer power of the Oppressor MK2 ensures that the Specialized Workshop is likely the best upgrade for the Terrorbyte.
