How to Start Secret of the Giants
Aftergetting the camera and taking photosof the four compulsory Inscriptions during The Stolen Cat Mummy quest, you can take photographs of six additional Strange Inscriptions from Crescenzo’s map as an optional Fieldwork mission.
Of course, the order you find all 10 Inscriptions may also depend on what quests you tackle first, as some require specific ones to be completed in order for players to gain access to them. Father Antonio is also interested in seeing all 10 Inscription photographs, which you may find and photograph around Vatican City, as detailed below:

First Inscription
The first Inscription is found in the small garden of theVia di Belvederemap area, as pictured above. You can spot the Inscription in the corner near the scaffold structure, a location you might have spotted when searching for the missing cat duringA Free Spirit Mystery. Take a photo of it using the camera to snag the first Inscription.
Second Inscription
The second Inscription is pretty straightforward to locate, as you may find it in the fountain located in theBelvedere Courtyard. Providing you don’t get too close to the patrolling Blackshirts, you shouldn’t have any trouble running across the Courtyard and snapping a quick photo of the Inscription on the fountain.
Third Inscription
The third Inscription involves a bit of climbing and parkour directly above the Belvedere Courtyard. To reach it, climb the scaffold structure behind the stage in the Belvedere Courtyard and use your whip to climb to the top to get to theBelvedere Courtyard balcony. Follow its black-and-white check floor around to find the third Strange Inscription on the wall and use your camera to grab a photo.
Fourth Inscription
The fourth Inscription can be tricky to find, but you’re able to reach it more easily by starting at the third Inscription’s location. Beginning at the Belvedere Courtyard Balcony, climb up and through the window into the Apostolic Palace.
Look out the opposite window and use Indy’s whip to get to therooftop overlooking the Borgia Courtyardsto take a photo of the fourth Inscription showing three graves, as pictured on the map above.

Fifth Inscription
You can find the fifth Inscription immediately to the left ofthe Fountain of Confessions puzzle, located at the top of the stairs to thesouthwestof the map in an area called theVatican Gardens. Snap a photo of the Inscription, which depicts two figures.
Sixth Inscription
The sixth Inscription is discoverable in the Blackshirt camp, which is where youget the Blackshirt disguiseto the south of the map, as pictured above. It can be a tricky area to find, as it requires progressing through the main story in The Stolen Cat Mummy, where you meet Gina for the first time.
After speaking with Gina, you can use the nearby zip line to reach the balcony opposite and duck through the hole in the wire fence. Use Indy’s whip to carefully drop to the camp below, where you’ll have to fight three Blackshirt enemies to get the Blackshirt uniform and key. After the fight, you can safely snap a photo of the sixth Inscription in the corner by the door, as pictured above.

Seventh Inscription
The seventh Inscription is located in theMuseumpart of the map, which you’re able to reach when playing through Gina’s ‘A Nun in Trouble’ side quest. When you first arrive at the Museum, you can find the seventh Inscription at the top of the steps in the external gardens surrounding the Museum, as pictured on the map above. Snap a photo of it to mark the seventh Inscription in your Journal.
Eighth Inscription
you’re able to find the eighth Inscription in the far right corner of theExcavation Site. It’s not necessarily the easiest to find from the Inscription map markers, which seems like it could be below the Site or in the rubble. However, you don’t need to dig to find the tenth Inscription, as you can find it at the top of the Excavation Site in a corner, as pictured above. Grab a photo to tick off the eighth Inscription.
Ninth Inscription
To get to the ninth Inscription, you need toget the Sewer Keyto travel through theSewersunderneath the Tower of Nicholas V. You get the Sewer Key during the ‘Mad Priest’ Fieldwork quest after speaking with Sister Catherine and Antonio. You’ll need to use the key to open the locked gate in the Tower of Nicholas V.
Follow the white paint markers on the surrounding pipes and use your whip to climb up and travel through the Sewers. Once you are close to the end of the Sewer pathway, you can find the ninth Inscription on the wall, as pictured above, before proceeding into the Apostolic Palace.

Lastly, you can find the tenth Inscription in theCellar, which you can find down the steps next to the Vatican City Post Office. However, you’ll need toget the Cellar Keyto access the Cellar, which you can only get during the ‘A Savage Discovery’ Fieldwork quest, which involves searching for a missing Stone Tablet.
During ‘A Savage Discovery,’ you’ll eventually reach an objective that involves searching for and fighting a worker called Giuseppe. Once you defeat Giuseppe, search his body to grab the Cellar Key, which you’re able to use to open the Cellar and access the tenth Inscription in the corner of the room while completing the rest of the ‘Savage Discovery’ quest.
