How To Destroy Wooden Barriers

At the beginning of the game, you’ll be given a choice regarding which starting weapon you want. you may choose from three main options: Ruego al Alba, a balanced blade with fast attacks and medium damage, Veredicto, a slower, yet devastating blunt weapon, or Sarmiento & Centella, the fastest weapons in the game, although their damage output isn’t too high.

Each one of these weapons must be used at some point throughout the game to traverse through the various platforms you’ll encounter. Veredicto is meant to be used on blue bells, Sarmiento & Centella on teleportation mirrors, and Ruego al Alba on the wooden barriers you’re currently struggling to get past. The ability you need to get to get past these wooden barriers cannot be rushed, meaning that you’ll have to wait until a certain point in the game to get it. Once you do, you’ll have to identify the wooden barrier you want to destroy and reach great heights to then perform a plunge attack. If you’re not high enough when you perform the plunge attack, you’ll see the wooden barrier split, but not break, telling you that you need to get higher. Using thePassage of Ash ability(Double Jump) can be of great help in these cases.

The plunge attack is done by simultaneously shifting your left joystick down and pressing the “X” button on Xbox consoles, or the Square button on PlayStation. This plunge attack can also be used in combat and is very effective against large groups of enemies or single enemies that are not too resilient. Destroying the various wooden barriers scattered across Custodia will grant you access to many valuables, new areas, and even optional bosses that complement the gaming experience.

Which Weapon Is The Best?

Answering this question is a little tough, as it greatly depends on each player’s preference. If you don’t mind slower attacks in exchange for dealing a lot more damage, then Veredicto will definitely be a solid choice. On the other hand, if you prefer much faster attacks even though you’re not doing as much damage as you would with the other two weapons available in the game, then Sarmiento & Centella should be your go-to.

Lastly, if you want a balanced approach that allows you to both deal decent damage while also being able to move swiftly and dodge enemy attacks more often, Ruego al Alba will work wonders for you. At the end of the day, all three weapons are necessary and should be combined both in combat and during exploration to get the fullBlasphemous 2experience.
