Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remasteredwill let new players experience 2 classic tales from theLegacy of Kainfranchise. Afterdefeating RahabinLegacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Raziel will acquire the ability to swim in water without shifting back to the Spectral Realm.
This opens up many new paths of exploration in the game. Some paths will lead to some ofthe game’s powerful Glyphs, some will lead to health and energy increases, and others will lead players to the next story objective. However, there is something players should seek out the moment they acquire the power to swim, and that is the Fire Reaver.
How to Find the Fire Reaver in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Once Rehab has fallen, players will need to backtrack to the stained glass window they shattered to exit the abbey. This building is flooded on the lower floor, but players can now leap into the water and freely swim about. From the middle of the west side of the building, head east to find a submerged stained glass window. Players can fire a projectile to shatter this and head down a long spiral staircase.
At the bottom, they will find an egg that will hatch into one of Rahab’s kin, as well as a massive number of additional eggs throughout this area. Follow along the wall on your left until you are facing the south wall. Head to this wall and go left, watching the wall. You will find an opening in the bottom of the wall. Should players go too far, they will hit a gate. Simply follow along this south wall from the gate while looking for this opening. This will take players down another stairwell.
Follow along the east wall this time, and you will come across another stained glass window. Shatter it and follow the path to find an elemental forge. Interact with it and Raziel will ignite the Wraith Blade into a flame-colored form. Firing out projectiles will now cause the player to shoot fireballs. These will deal damage to enemies that are aware of your presence, but instantly finish off any lesser foe that is not aware of your presence.
How to Use the Fire Reaver in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Anytime the players come across a large body of fire, they can imbue their Wraith Blade to form the Fire Reaver. These large fires will appear in numerous areas they have yet to explore — such as the domain ofDumah.This allows players plenty of opportunities to use them, making the game far easier to complete. Should the Fire Reaver touch water, it will be extinguished and return to its original Wraith Blade form.
