How to Solve Nightmare Cloud Puzzles in WuWa
Nightmare Cloud puzzles will have players transforming into the Lottie Lost Echo in order to clean up some residual Nightmare energy surrounding certain items. As Lottie Lost, players can use their magic book as a vacuum to suck up and clean Nightmare Clouds, purifying them and the items they’re haunting. Completing these puzzles will reward you with chests containingvaluables like Astritesand character materials.
to turn into Lottie Lost,approach a batch of Nightmare Clouds until your Utility Tool slot turns into a Lottie Lost icon. This system is a little finicky as of writing, so you may need tofind the right angle before the game recognizes your intent. Once the icon appears in your Utility Tool slot, click the Utility Tool button (the same button you use for your Grappling Hook) to transform into Lottie Lost.
As Lottie Lost, hold your primary attack button to enter an Aiming stance. Keep holding the button down, and point the book at the patch of Nightmare Clouds to purify them.
Nightmare Cloud Types
There are three different kinds of Nightmare Clouds, and players will need to perform different methods in order to purify them:
Nightmare Clouds can be encountered inWuWa’sWhisperwind Haven and beyond. Ordinary and Sequential clouds are fairly easy to solve, but One-Off ones can be a little confusing. Instead of absorbing One-Off clouds normally, you’ll need touse Advanced Absorption, which is bound to your Resonance Skill button by default while in Lottie Lost form. you’re able to charge this ability up by finding asmall, golden orbsomewhere nearby.
One-Off Nightmare Clouds must all be absorbed at the same time. In some puzzles, you’ll need to find movable objects contaminated by Nightmare Clouds — in cases like these, players will need to find all the contaminated objects and move them close to each other before using Advanced Absorption, as pictured above.
