Dota 2players are no strangers to exciting events and mini-games. With the popular Crownfall event now nearing the end of its stay, Valve has decided to grace the community with one last hurrah to bid it the farewell it deserves. After working through the treacherous overworld and defeating Queen Imperia in the finalmini-game Nest of Thorns, players can now sit back and enjoy some fun games in the Frostivus event inDota 2.
While the event doesn’t add any new mini-games for you to complete, there are some nice rewards you can claim right now by completing certain tasks. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about unlocking the rewards in this year’s Frostivus inDota 2.
How to Unlock Frostivus Rewards in Dota 2
Players must gather some special ingredients known as Festive Infusions during their games to unlock the different rewards in the Frostivus event inDota 2. There are a total of five Infusions that players can collect, each requiring them to complete a different set of tasks.
The following table will show you what you must do to collect these unique event-specific items inDota 2.
Win Matches

Simply win games in any of the game modes inDota 2during the Frostivus event.
Collect Bounty Runes
+1
Collect Bounty Runes that periodically spawn on the map. You’ll earn a point for each Bounty Rune you collect in a game.
Kill Couriers
+4
Pick heroes like the the Bounty Hunter, Nature’s Prophet,or even Storm Spiritto easily get kills on the enemy Couriers.
Play in a Party
+10
Invite a friend or guild member to join your party when you find a game.

Get Assists
Help your teammate secure the last hit on an enemy to rack up assists in a game.
High Five After Hero Kill
+2
Use the High-Five button (Ctrl + J) with your teammate after killing an enemy hero.
High Five Enemies
Press the High-Five button if you see the High-Five symbol above an enemy hero’s head.
Steal Hats
+5
Each time a hero gets a kill during the Frostivus event, they get a stack of Frostivus Hats. You can steal it by going near the enemy hero and clicking on the Spirit of Frostivus (Ctrl + C) ability button.
Damage Enemy Heroes
+0.0001
Pickdamage-dealers like Huskerto deal as much damage as possible to the enemy heroes.
Receive Tips
Both ally and enemy tips count towards you earning a point.
Hit Hero with Snowball Before Kill
Before getting the kill on an enemy hero, use the Throw Snowball ability on them (Ctrl +R).
Bump Penguins
+0.5
Summon a Penguin by using the Summon Penguin (Ctrl + R) ability and walk into it to give it a bump.
Build a Snowman Before First Blood
Use the Build Snowman ability (Ctrl + W) when the game begins before fighting any enemy heroes.
Dota 2 Frostivus 2025 Reward Tiers and Crafting
Players can access all the rewards available during the event by clicking on the Frostivus Forge button from the main menu inDota 2. The rewards are split across six tiers, each containing a different type of in-game item for you to claim, be it seasonal voice lines or the unique Treasure Chest.
There’s a limit to the number of rewards you can craft in each tier.
