Summary
InHunt: Showdown 1896, players can either team up with others orstrike out on solo missionsto try to take the bounty for themselves. If they choose the latter, they’ll need to be primed and ready for fierce combat with enemies, bosses, and other players.
While they’ll need to know how to quietly traverse the map, havingthe best loadoutfor a solo hunt is the key to being victorious. Since they’re moving on their own without a party, players could quickly find themselves in trouble if they don’t have the right items on hand. From weapons to tools to consumables, these loadouts offer solo hunters excellent options for taking down all their opponents.

5Romero 77 Talon & Centennial Shorty
Best Budget Loadout For Versatility
For players looking for a budget loadout that offers a lot of versatility, this combination of the Romero 77 Talon and Centennial Shorty is awesome. Whileshotguns are greatfor taking powerful shots at enemies, the Romero 77 Talon is outfitted with a stock-mounted blade for close combat needs.
The Centennial Shorty is a lever-action repeating rifle that works well at range. To make this combination of firearms work, players must use the Quartermaster trait, which allows both to be equipped. When choosing consumables, it’s important to have Vitality Shot (Weak) on hand. It’s cheaper than the regular Vitality Shot, and can prove more effective when used wisely.

4Rival 78 Trauma & Pax Trueshot
Close-Range Hunting
The Rival 78 Trauma is a double-barrel break-action shotgun. It’s been modified to have a bludgeon added to the stock for close-combat damage. Players should combine this shotgun with the Pax Trueshot to round out this loadout. This long-barreled version of the Pax isa single-action revolverthat delivers incredible accuracy.
Adding the Serpent trait can really help with solo runs, as it enables players to interact with nearby Rifts, Clues, and Bounties from a greater distance as solo hunters. The Throwing Spear is an essential tool to add to this loadout. It’s especially helpful in that once a player throws it, they can retrieve it for future use. Otherkey tools and consumablesinclude a First Aid Kit, Vitality Shot (Weak), Regeneration Shot (Weak), and Stamina Shot.

3Vetterli 71 Cyclone & Katana
Shotgun With A Melee Backup
This loadout makes use of a modified shotgun combined with a melee weapon as a backup. The Vetterli 71 Cyclone is a bolt-action carbine with a semi-automatic conversion. It’s easy to reload and packs a punch at medium distances. When the Cyclone doesn’t keep other hunters or bosses far enough away, the Katana is perfect for cutting them down.
To complete this loadout, players will want the Martialist trait to enhance the Katana, and the Necromancer trait in case they need to revive themselves. They’ll also need a First Aid Kit, Stamina Shot, and Vitality Shot (Weak). Another key consumable item to have is any explosive they prefer to use, Fusees, and Concertina Trip Mines.

2Mosin-Nagant Sniper & Dolch 96
Expensive But Powerful Ranged Loadout
Sometimes, players need to take on their enemies from a distance, especially during a solo hunt. This loadout makes that possible. The Mosin-Nagant Sniper is powerful and equipped with a scope for long-distance shooting. The Dolch 96 is a high-powered pistol that offers an excellent fire rate. When combined, these two weapons make players a force to be reckoned with from a distance and much closer.
Players will also need to pick up some regenerative items, including a First Aid Kit, Regeneration Shot, and Stamina Shot. Having a Throwing Spear on hand will also enhance their close combat fighting. The traits that work well with this loadout are Steady Aim and Necromancer. Players may not be able to adopt this loadout until they’ve got several hours of successful hunts under their belts, as it is quite expensive. However, it is well worth the Hunt Dollars.

1Hunting Bow & Vetterli 71 Silencer
The Ideal Stealth Loadout
One of the biggest things players need to focus on during solo hunts is stealth. The less noise they make, the harder it will be for other hunters to find them. Combining the Hunting Bow with the Vetterli 71 Silencer is an ideal optionfor enhancing stealth. The Hunting Bow is a powerful weapon choice that’s capable of taking down an enemy with one shot when a player’s aim is true. But even if they don’t one-shot their enemy, hitting them will cause bleeding.
The Vetterli 71 Silencer is great for medium-range damage, and has an added silencer to keep things quiet. Between these two weapons and careful steps, players will be able to clear their targets with barely a sound. They’ll needthe Quartermaster traitin order to use both guns. For tools and consumables, Choke Bombs, Concertina Trip Mines, Frag Bombs, and Hive Bombs are great items to have in addition to healing items.
