Gege’s Message in the Final Volume of Jujutsu Kaisen

Gege Gives Hope To The Fans

In every volume, mangakas tend to leave messages for the fans, and while usually, they’re not the most relevant or serious messages, in the final volume ofJujutsu Kaisen, Gege dropped quite the peculiar message that could be interpreted in a very interesting way. Gege dropped this message and a small doodle in Volume 30.

Gege’s message was as follows:

“Someday. We’ll meet again.”

This message is short and simple, but the implications are massive for the future ofJJK.

What This Means For Jujutsu Kaisen

This message could be interpreted in two ways. For one, it potentially teases futureJujutsu Kaisenworks. Whether that is future spinoffs, or even a prequel or a sequel, fans do not know, but that matters little. What fans know is that Gege intends to keep the door open, just in case he ever wants to revisit this story that he created and is beloved all over the world.

Jujutsu Kaisen has the potential for a great sequel story, especially with its many unexplored characters and concepts. The Heian era alone could be its own prequel manga, and fans would definitely love the extra focus on Sukuna.

That said, the message could also mean thatGege is planning to return as a mangakawith a different story altogether. Gege is going to start a new manga, unrelated toJujutsu Kaisen.

The Characters Gege Could Focus On If He Returns to Jujutsu Kaisen

The biggest characterfans would love to see more of is Sukuna. Recently in the epilogue, fans got a glimpse of his life with Uraume during the Heian era, and while it was a nice addition, it was lacking in overall substance, and fans definitely want more from this character. A prequel for Jujutsu Kaisen focusing on his life and rise would be needed.

Other antagonists inJJKcould grant their own spinoffs to arethe likes of Kenjaku. He has lived in so many bodies, that there must be many stories to tell.
