Jujutsu Kaisenended rather recently and it is safe to say that fans have been wanting for more ever since. Unfortunately, the author has suffered quite a bit in terms of his health, especially over the last few years, which means that at this point in time, there are no major plans forJJKto get a sequel. That said,JJKcontent will always keep flowing in, and there are always exciting bits of information coming from left, right, and center that fans can enjoy.
While some of them only reveal details about the manga, others are obscure pieces of information that flow out rarely. One such exciting interview was held with theJJKeditor, Katayama, who revealedwho he thinks the character that Gege resembles the most is.

The Many Brilliant Characters in JJK
JJKhas seen the creation of some brilliant characters, thanks to Gege’s brilliant writing. Fans have seen the author create some fabulous characters that they have gotten attached to. While some characters, such as the protagonist of the series, might not be the most moving of all, others, such as Megumi, Gojo, and even the likes of Nobara and Maki are incredibly popular. Every character inJJKis exciting, to say the least, and regardless of how good a job the author has done with these characters, they are still popular.
In fact, despite JJK being a rather short-lived series, the characters might just go on to be some of the most popular in the entire anime and manga medium. Fans from all over the world have come to love these characters, and for various reasons. Undoubtedly, there are people who see themselves in these characters, and feel they resemble them in one way or another. Similarly, according to Gege’s editors, there are certain characters who are similar to the author of the series as well. One of those editors was asked about which character resembled Gege the most and the answer is certainly quite surprising.

The Character That Resembles Gege The Most
According To The Editor, Gojo Is Like Gege
According to editor Katayama, the character who resembles Gege the most is none other than the strongest modern sorcerer inJJK, Gojo Satoru. This might come as a surprise to many fans, especially when taking into consideration the comments that Gege has made about Gojo in the past. In fact, many fans of JJK actually believe that he absolutely hates him. In many of his comments in Jump,Gege has been noted to be condescending towards Gojoor mocking him in one way or another. Some fans have taken this literally and take it to mean that he isn’t too fond of him. Others take it to believe that Gege simply loves to joke about Gojo because of how perfect he truly is. Some fans even go as far as to say that he killed off Gojo in the most brutal of ways because of his hatred for the character. It is safe to say that the vast majority of these ideas are largely exaggerated. Gege certainly doesn’t hate Gojo and there is absolutely nothing wrong with joking about a character every now and then. Of course, Gojo might not be Gege’s favorite, and he might have already intended to kill him off, but, to say that he despised the character is taking things a bit too far.
Regardless, according toJJK’svery own editor Katayama, Gege resembles Gojo quite a lot. According to him, both of them are incredibly smart and essentially geniuses in what they do, and at the same time, they are both incredibly cool, which catches the eye of other people. Here is what additive had to say about gay.

Q (2019): Is Akutami-sensei like any of the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Katayama (JJK Editor): I actually talked about this with Akutami-sensei yesterday. I think it’s 𝙂𝙤𝙟𝙤-𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙞. Akutami-sensei is really cheery & cool! Cheery but super-duper smart. Akutami-sensei reads a ton of novels & watches many movies. Akutami-sensei’s very smart like 𝙂𝙤𝙟𝙤 as well.
It is no surprise to know that the author of JJK has a keen intellect. Based on the incredibly exciting writing of his story and the complex ideas that he drills into his battles, it is not a shock to know that Gege is actually quite smart. Based on his personality, which fans only see very little of, the editors deem him to be somewhat similar to Gojo. In fact, it might be possible that Gege based Gojo on himself. According to many who have known Gege, he is quite humble and doesn’t speak highly of himself. This might also explain why Gege has often made mocking comments towards Gojo, because he might see a reflection of himself in this particular character.
Is Gojo Gege’s Favorite Character?
Gojo Is Up There With Gege’s Absolute Favorites
It is unknown who Gege’s favorite JJK character is. However, saying that this character could be Gojo is a fair shot. Until Gege is asked this question and he gives an answer that the fans, won’t know exactly who his favorite is. But it is safe to say that Gojo is just as good a guess as any other. Based on the incredible amount of detail that Gege has put intothe character of Gojo Satoru, it is clear that the author cares for him quite a lot.
From writing an exciting backstory about this character, all the way to making him stand out in the most brilliant ways, Gege’s handling of the character has been nothing short of absolutely brilliant. In fact, in many ways, the writing for Gojo has been even better than that of the protagonist of the series. Even in terms of popularity, a large part of the fandom actually jokes aboutGojo being the main character, and, jokes aside, he is considered to be the face of JJK far and wide.
All that is to say thatGojo Is a beloved characternot just to the fans but also to the author himself. Unfortunately, Gojo could not get the happy ending that he deserved because he died in the Shinjuku Showdown arc ofJJK. Gojo met his end at Sukuna’s hands, which shocked everyone. Still, Gojo made many appearances via flashbacks in the subsequent chapters, and right up until the very end, fans continued to see more of him.
Hopefully, if JJK were to ever get a sequel of any sorts, be it a one shot or a spin-off series, fans would see more of this brilliant character who has moved people from all over the world, in many exciting ways.
