Jujutsu Kaisenended rather recently and while the ending certainly did leave the fans quite sad, at the same time, it also left them confused, because a lot of the things in the story were unsolved.JJK’sending is widely regarded to be one of the most rushed ones that fans have seen in recent years, even though that doesn’t take away much from it.
Because of the nature of the ending of the story, fans are incredibly excited for a continuation thatJJKwill get very soon, with the release of volume 30, the final volume of the series. It has now been confirmed thatJJKis getting an epilogue,just asMy Hero Academiadid rather recently.
Jujutsu Kaisen Will Get A New Epilogue Soon
Jujutsu Kaisen ended on a very positive note, with the likes of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara, taking the reins of the new era. Yuji has officially inherited Gojo’s dream, and fans know that he’s going to be a phenomenal sorcerer in the future. The world of JJK has changed quite a bit, with the higher-ups of the JJK society being removed from power, and a new order being installed. That said, fans did not actually get to see the new order function at all. Many character plotlines were left unresolved, and fans felt that the series could have been much better if the ending had been elaborated upon quite a bit. Thankfully,JJKis getting a 16-page epilogue,as was announced on the Jump Festa 2025 stage for the series.
Jujutsu Kaisenwill finally publish its last volume later this month, and with the volume, fans will get a new epilogue, which will elevate the ending of the series to new levels. Fans who are into other Shonen series as well might remember thatMy Hero Academiarecently got its epilogue. In the epilogue, a lot of the character plot lines were elaborated upon, such as those surrounding Ochako Uraraka and Deku, which made an already exciting ending even better. Of course, the author felt that he had more freedom when tackling the epilogue, because the constraints that bound him during weekly coverage of Shonen Jump did not apply to him anymore, and this meant the characters were more free.
Similar logic would apply toJJK, and fans might see a different version of the characters. It is possible that JJK will get a new timeskip, and fans will certainly rejoice at that. Right now, not much information has been provided to the fans about the nature of the epilogue, but it has certainly raised quite a lot of questions, specifically regarding Gojo Satoru. It is safe to say that he has been the face of the series for many years, which is why his death inJJKchapter 236 hit the fans quite hard. Fans were hoping for Gojo’s return right until the very end of the series, and they were left disappointed when that did not materialize. Now, JJK is going to continue with its epilogue, and fans are hoping that an update is provided on Gojo’s future here.
Will Gojo Return In The JJK Epilogue?
A Return For Gojo Is Very Unlikely Here
The question of whether Gojo will return in theJJKepilogue or not is quite an intriguing one. Of course, it would be brilliant for the series if Gojo actually did go on to return and played an active part in the story. However, at this point, Gojo’s return is simply wishful thinking. There is absolutely no way that Gege is going to see Gojo return to the story, because if he did, he would be massively altering the very last chapter of the story. Essentially, Gojo entrusted his dream to Yuji, and this development would mean absolutely nothing if he simply were to return in the very next chapter.
Haven’t we had enough of Gojo Satoru already? – Gojo
As Gojo put it himself,the series has had enough of Gojo Satoru, and now is the time for the next generation to take the stage. Gojo even asked Yuji to seek a different kind of strength than his own, which could be interpreted in many ways, but, it goes to say that Gojo’s time has come to an end and he did all he could do. His dream has now become Yuji’s dream, and most importantly, his biggest dream of changing the Jujutsu Society has been accomplished already. Everything that Gojo strived to do has been done.
Of course, this does not mean that Gojo’s ending was satisfactory, because it is quite clear that the author dropped the ball on this character towards the end. There are still plotlines that are unresolved in regards to Gojo, but, with the way that the last chapter ended, all hope of Gojo returning was squashed by the author. As such, fans who are waiting for JJK’s next chapter should not expect a return from Gojo Satoru in the present.
Which Characters Will JJK Epilogue Be Focused On?
While the epilogue will most certainly not feature Gojo in the present timeline, fans might actually get a flashback from this character. Gojo has been actively present in JJK even after his death, largely through flashbacks. In the last few chapters, fans saw Gojo give a note to Nobara telling her where her mother was. Now, fans know officially that JJK’s epilogue is going to focus on Nobara, along with other characters. The part focusing onNobara could be related to Gojo’s message, and her seeking out her own mom.
Seek a different kind of strength than me, Yuji. – Gojo
Similarly, there are other characters who this epilogue is going to be focusing on as well. Fans know that Ozawa is going to be central to the plot, and for those who do not remember, she is the same character who was once in love with Yuji. Of course, a relationship between these two characters never materialized, but, now,it is possible that Gege will build towards something in the epilogue.
Other characters that are going to be involved inJJK’sepilogueare Panda and Uraume. While nobody is interested in what happens to Panda in the epilogue, Uraume is a different story altogether. Through the character of Uraume, fans could actually get to explore more of Sukuna as well, and big mysteries about his character could actually be revealed. It is safe to say that JJK’s epilogue is going to be absolutely massive, and even though it is quite short, it is going to reveal exciting bits of information to the fans that they can only hope will be used for more content in the future. It is an exciting time to be a JJK fan, despite the manga having finished, as there is still an incredible anime adaptation to look forward to, as well as a massive epilogue.
