In this fan-made concept art, Nightcrawler is depicted with the superhero trappings ofMarvel Rivals, wearing bulky armor and using a blade with his tail. When compared to some originalMarveldesigns that appear in the comics, this new concept art stands out by modifying the character’s iconic red and black outfit, which is generally much simpler. TheMarvel Rivalscommunity loved Herzen’s creation, giving over 2,100 upvotes to the fan art, with many fans revealing that they want Nightcrawler to be added toMarvel Rivalssoon.

Earlier this week, thefan also shared a concept art of Gambit inMarvel Rivals, which had armor, the character’s iconic jacket, and staff. Like Nightcrawler, Gambit is another X-Men character that did not appear in the popular hero shooter but is very popular with the fan base.
AnotherX-Men character depicted as aMarvel Rivalshero was Cyclops, whose design was also created by David Herzen. Like the other designs of the artist, this version of Cyclops was bulkier than how it’s presented in most versions of the comics, and it had a stylish blue and brown outfit.
Unfortunately, neither Nightcrawler nor any of these other X-Men have been confirmed as coming toMarvel Rivalsin the future, so fans can only hope that they will be added eventually.
