Vanguards are basically tanks inMarvel Rivals, who fight on the front lines and prevent allies from taking in too much damage. The Hood is being speculated to be a Vanguard because there seem to be a couple of abilities focused around shields, which is something seen only in Vanguards like Dr. Strange. However, it is the Shield Health Management ability that has intrigued fans.
