Summary
As the calendar moves closer to 2025, the excitement over what the MCU offers is only building among its fans. All kinds of stories have been confirmed, and even more are hinted at. If people thought theMCUhad been upended before with shows like Loki and movies like Deadpool & Wolverine, then fans are in for some real surprises if even half of the rumored moves come to pass.
Among the rumors that are floating around the web at a breakneck pace is thatChris Evans might be joiningRobert Downey Jr. inAvengers: Doomsday. And if Evans does make an appearance, it’s quite up in the air as to how he might return to the MCU. More than a few theories believe that Evans might be coming back as Captain America, but he won’t be the Captain America fans know. Rather, he will be an evil version of the shield-carrying hero this time. In the comics, there is a Steve Rogers in an alternate universe who wasindoctrinated at a young age by Hydraand Cap eventually works for the government, as an undercover agent of the Nazi-linked criminal organization.

Hydra-Fied Captain America
One Instagram account going by the user namearifnity_decided to put up some MCU fan art in hopes of illustrating what a Hydra-affiliated Steve Rogers might look like all suited up. As a bonus, the account included an image of Robert Downey Jr. in his persona as Doctor Doom (sans metal mask) and whatappears to be The Maestro(an evil, future version of The Hulk) in the background.
The picture shows all three of the villains dressed all in green, with Steve Rogers clad in an outfit that looks quite a bit like his regular Captain America costume, complete with his shield. However, rather than his uniform sporting red, white and blue patterns, this outfit sports a green, black and gold color scheme. His shield is repainted with the stripes being green, black and goldand the Hydra symbolreplacing the star in the middle.
Cap’s helmet is changed as well, replacing the big A that symbolizes America and it is instead an H for Hydra. The finishing touch of Rogers is that while he’s wearing his usual (though differently colored helmet) he’s wearing a face mask that is similar to what Bucky Barnes worewhen he was The Winter Soldier. Meanwhile Downey Jr.’s character is wearing the green robes that are synonymous with Doctor Doom, though he is showing his face as the artist clearly wanted people to know that this was definitely Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. Or at leas the dark versions of those characters.
There is another slide in the post that is very similar, though instead of being clad in green, this version of theMCU’s Steve Rogers is wearing the same outfit as the first picture, but the color scheme is red and black. However, the green outfit definitely hits better as the red scheme tends to look hot pink at certain angles.
