Many users have since reported that their accounts are back to normal, with theirpoints earned through Xbox Game Pass questsand other online tasks were properly restored to what they had been previously.
Not Every Microsoft Rewards Account is Immediately Back
Microsoft noted that the any affected accounts would be back to normal “in the next several hours,” and accordingly, not all users immediately found their accounts back in working order. As the hours have passed since, more users have recovered their accounts. However, some reported that they needed to not only log in and out of the program but completely restart their computers or phones for the account to appear correct again. Those who are still having problems with therewards programshould try doing the same. If that fails, it’s advisable to contact support for additional assistance.
Microsoft Rewards has given users headaches in the past, but it’s typically due to changing the way that rewards are earned, or the amount that users are awarded after completing certain tasks. While it can be a nuisance to encounter problems like this suspension wave or rewards changes, at the end of the day,Microsoft Rewards still allows users to earn gift cardsand even earn Xbox Game Pass subscriptions for free.
