Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewindlaunched on December 10 for all major gaming platforms, gaining mostly positive reviews for its classic beat-em-up combat and overall nostalgic presentation that paid tribute tothe entireMMPRera. However, there were plenty of critiques as well, mostly due to how all six playable Rangers basically play the same and the uneven difficulty in the 3D shooting stages that lead to Megazord battles.

Earlier this week, Digital Eclipse released the first majorMighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewindupdate for December 2024. It is currently available to download on Steam and PlayStation 5, with the developers promising that it will arrive on Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms “soon.” Digital Eclipse says that it has been gathering feedback from players sincethe launch ofRita’s Rewind, and promises that more news and updates will be posted in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, the recently releasedMighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s RewindDecember 2024 update makes many adjustments to player movement. All six Power Rangers (includingthe unlockable Green Ranger) can now walk and dash faster, dodge without any cooldown, and let go of grappled enemies while evading attacks. Health-restoring food items are now more spread out when spawning from containers, Time Disruptors no longer affect the clock during Speed Run, and players can switch characters in the Juice Bar without having to exit all the way back to the start menu.

Mighty Morphin Rita’s Rewind’s Zord and Megazord levelshave also been tweaked and rebalanced, with jumping now easier due to reduced gravity, useful health items now appearing during gameplay, and enemy laser fire dealing less damage. Finally, stability has been improved across the board in this newMighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewindupdate, and a save file issue that prevented PS5 players from starting a new playthrough after beating the game once has been resolved.
