Not all creations need to be so sprawling, however, and players find great satisfaction in tackling smaller projects as well. Reddit user Streetpost_77 recently shared their more modest but still impressive build of a mesa village, inspired by something they saw inGhost Recon.Comprising five rectangular buildings, each a different color, and surrounded by hills ofMinecraft’s red sandstone and terracotta, each little house has a lantern hanging by the door and a window or two.

In the comments on the Reddit post, many people immediately pointed out that, while Streepost_77’s creation looks like a pueblo, it features the colorful style of a Brazilian favela. The creator also explained that the inside of each building is fully functional, which they will share images of at a later date. They also plan to eventually addvillagers to their smallMinecraftmesa town, though they’re busy fleshing out the exterior for now.

Players have built all kinds ofimpressive bases inMinecraft, from treehouses to tiny homes to sprawling megalopolises that took years to create. And the community likes to share their ideas with one another, simultaneously gaining praise and helping those who might be looking for a bit of inspiration. Building inMinecraftdoesn’t necessarily require a huge investment of time or creativity, either.
