Summary
A dedicatedMinecraftplayer has spent a year and a half building what they describe as a “beginner house,” but despite the simple design, this gigantic structure is much more than just a beginner house. WhileMinecraftis now well over a decade old, the popular sandbox game has endless possibilities that have kept it as one of the most well-loved titles in existence, with players continuing to come up with unique and mind-blowing builds daily.
Since its initial alpha launch all the way back in 2009,Minecrafthas evolved massively. Mojang, the studio behind the hit sandbox title, was acquired by Microsoft back in 2014 for $2.5 billion and has gone on to develop various spin-off titles while under the gigantic company, such asMinecraft LegendsandMinecraft Dungeons. Despite the success of these two titles, Mojang has alsocontinued to updateMinecrafton a regular basis. New biomes, mobs, blocks, features, and more have kept the community actively engaged with the hit sandbox game, with players still showing off their impressive creations all these years later.

Minecraft Player Builds Giant Starter House
The latestepicMinecraftbuildcomes from Reddit user Zydryx0, who says they spent a year and a half finishing their “beginner house.” While the beginning of the showcase shows what appears to be an incredibly basic starter home, the user then reveals that they have built a gigantic replica big enough for a giant. According to the user, it took over 118,000 blocks to build this mega starter house and was done completely in survival mode. Each of the giant blocks uses multiple smaller blocks to ensure that they have the same texture and design as the original version, which is likely why it took the user well over a year to complete it.
Although this impressive build was done in Survival, the user did note that they useda popularMinecraftmodknown as Litematica to build the giant blocks. Litematica allows players to import 3D blueprints into their game and then place the blocks manually while following the outline. The mod is a perfect way to still accomplish impressive builds while in Survival mode but without having to flick back and forth between guides or YouTube tutorials. The user says they found the schematics for 16x16Minecraftblocks and then imported them to Litematica to assist them with this gigantic starter house.

FellowMinecraftplayerswere massively impressed by the build, with userMangoBrandosaying that the scale “hurts your brain” because of how accurate each mega sized block is.Odd_Mulberry_2099also chimed in and called the build “epic,” while a plethora of other users said they have been inspired to build something similar.
