Jotaro knows all too well Stands can hold immense power, considering he’s the host of Star Platinum, but as strong as they may be, being able to cheat death was never seen as possible during his adventures.
At the same time, Jotaro lost two very close friends throughout his mission in part 3, which has seemingly made him view life itself as something that should be cherished while it still can. It’s also one of the few instances where Jotaro speaks with a calm and somber tone to his voice, showcasing just how much these deaths have impacted him.

Jotaro has an interesting relationship with his mother, to put it lightly. While he can often be seen insulting his mother and getting irritated at her affection for him, deep down, he also cares deeply for her and embarks on his mission to Egypt entirely for her sake. His complex bond with her is highlighted during Jotaro’s duel with D’arby where he decides to put his own mother’s soul on the line to put enough pressure on his opponent to reveal information about Dio’s Stand.
A risky decision for sure, but one that ends up actually working as D’arby is forced to release all of the souls he had acquired after believing he has no chance of winning the match with such high stakes. Still, this is an outlandish line that only a character froma series as whacky as thiscould say with a straight face.

Jotaro’s stand-off with Dio, and the few lines of dialogue that accompany it before the two start going at it, is one of the most iconic moments in the history ofJoJo’s. While Dio’s “So you’re approaching me?” is a quote no fan can ever forget, Jotaro’s crude response is just as memorable thanks to how blunt and badass it is.
Considering how long the build-up was to these two characters meeting face to face, seeing them finally talking to one another with all the disdain in the world makes these small lines of dialogue all the more impactful. This epic line is said during Jotaro’s monologue while fighting Kakyoin near the beginning of Stardust Crusaders. During said monologue, Jotaro explains many would call him a “Punk” considering he often disobeys the law, but by the end of his speech, he brings the whole thing back around to say that his very own stand, Star Platinum, is the only one who can judge others that negate the rules.
In this case, he refers to Kakyoin’s very own Stand, Hierophant Green, which is able to control humans, thereby meaning it can’t technically be held to account for its actions. Thankfully, Jotaro was there to law down the law in the only way he knew how, by beating the snot out of Kakyoin to knock some sense into him and free him of Dio’s control.

After explaining where the villain went wrong, Jotaro will usually decide to finish a battle off by letting his Stand run wild while screaming the chant “ORA” over and over again to hype up the attack.
Any time Jotaro lets out his iconic “Ora”, fans can expect to be in for a thrilling beatdown of the opponent in as brutal a fashion as possible. This quote hits even harder when Jotaro says it after having not fought in a while, such as the few times he shouts it out loud during part 4.
