As fans begin ripping packs, they might want to know which cards are the most valuable.Surging Sparksis proving to be a very popular set in this series, as there are plenty of chase cards to collect.
While some of them, such as some of the rare Pikachu cards, are very clearly going to be worth a pretty penny. However, there are a couple of unexpectedly valuable cards. This list will go over some of the most valuable and highly sought-after cards in the latest Pokemon set.

Article updated on June 01, 2025, by Benjamin Joe:The prices of Pokemon cards fluctuate dramatically over time. The better the card, the more it’s worth. But on top of that, as sets stop being produced, cards become rarer, further increasing a card’s value. The original article showcased some of the most valuable cards in Surging Sparks. However, there are a few other cards that deserve to be highlighted. This update will introduce three new entries to the list, bringing the total number of cards up to 13. The new entries are Night Stretcher, Durant EX, and Ceruledge. These cards are slowly creeping up in value, hence why they deserve a mention.
13Night Stretcher
One Of The Most Valuable Gold Cards In The Set
Gold cards, although rare, don’t tend to be worth a great deal. The Night Stretcher still sells for a respectable amount. However, when compared to the non-gold rare cards, its value is pretty low. When used in battle, this card gives players the ability to put aPokemonor Basic Energy card from their discard pile into their hand. When used correctly, this can be a pretty powerful card.
This card is also one of the most valuable gold cards in Surging Sparks. While this may change over time, there’s a good chance that this card will steadily increase in value, making it a good card to have as a part of a collection.

12Ceruledge #197
A Good Card With One Very Powerful Move
Ceruledge is a fun card to use. It has a very special ability that forces the player’s opponent to discard all of theirSpecial Energy cards. Although it’s niche, when used in the right situation, it can be very effective. As for its design, it’s a very detailed card that looks almost hand-drawn. The slightly faded background really helps to highlight Ceruledge, making it stand out.
As a whole, this card packs a punch and looks fantastic as a part of any collector’s binder. Its value has been a little up and down, but it seems to be on the rise now. So, while it might not be a good idea to sell a copy at the moment, it could be good to hang onto one or two for the time being.

11Durant EX #236
A Good Card With A Simplistic Comic Design
Durant may not be a particularly highly sought-afterPokemon, butit can still be pretty good in a battle. This card gives players two abilities. The first allows the player to discard the top card of their opponent’s deck when playing thePokemonfrom their hand to their bench. The other isa pretty powerful attack that does 120 damage plus an additional 30 damage for each prize card taken by their opponent.
As for its value, it hovers at around $26.00. This is a pretty good price considering Durant doesn’t tend to rank highly in most people’s estimation. That said, there’s no way of knowing whether this price will go up or down as time goes on.

10Pikachu Ex #219
Not The Only Pikachu On This List
This set has a handful of Pikachu cards.Pikachu typically ranks highly in sought-after cards. This set is no different.Out of the most valuable cards in this set, three of them are Pikachu cards. This card is brightly colored, and it depicts a happy and relaxed Pikachu.
Pikachu cards as a whole are usually adorable. This particular card may just be one of the most adorable Pikachu cards out there. Also, since its estimated value is around 35.00, not only is it adorable, but it is also surprisingly affordable.

9Latios #203
A Peaceful Sunset View
Latios is a fan favorite, so it’s not a surprise that this card holds some value. At the time of writing, this card has a rough ungraded value of $36.00.While this isn’t a lot when compared to some of the other cards out there, most collectors won’t complain if they find one of these in a pack. The depiction of Latios looking back with the sun settings in the background looks more like a movie poster than a card illustration.
8Jasmine’s Gaze #245
A Strange But Fun Design
It’s not very often that players can collect cards that depict someone enjoying a meal. This trainer card is definitely one of the more interesting trainer cards out there. While it isn’t themost valuable trainer cardin this set, it still sells for a respectable amount.
Ungraded, this card goes for around $36.00. While it has taken a bit of a dive in value recently, it is still a great card to have in the collection. For those who don’t yet have this card, its price is pretty affordable, especially when compared to some of the other entries on this list.

7Lisia’s Appeal #246
The Most Valuable Trainer Card In The Set
Trainer cards have always been a little unpredictable when it comes to value. For the most part, rare trainer cards tend to lose their value over time. That said, this is still a fun card that many collectors will want to get their hands on.
This full-art trainer card not only features Lisia, but also has Altaria in the background, which is a nice and welcome addition to the card. While this card is more of a niche one that only hardcore collectors and fans of Lisia will want to grab, it is still a nice card to add to the collection. Also, it’s the most valuable trainer card in this set.

6Alolan Exeggutor #242
One Of The Most Valuable Exeggutor Cards Out There
Alolan Exeggutor has received more than its fair share of special cards throughout the years. While this particular Pokemon is often overlooked by many players, it does have its strengths. As for this card variant, it’s fun, vibrant, and a little bit ridiculous (in a good way).
Alolan Exeggutor cards have always been somewhat whimsicalin nature. This card takes that to a whole other level with its bejeweled appearance against a soothing sunset background. This is truly a memorable card.

5Hydreigon Ex #240
A Card That’s Hard To Miss
Hydreigon Ex is one of the most visually appealing cards in this set. The illustrators worked hard to create a Hydreigon card that really does stand out when compared to many other cards in this set. While it isn’t as valuable as some of the other cards featured on this list, it still goes for around $83.00 ungraded, which is pretty good, all things considered.
While it’s definitely more niche than many other Pokemon out there in terms of popularity,it does have a lot of die-hard fans who would love to get their hands on this particular card.

4Milotic Ex #237
A Steady Increase In Value
There’s a lot going on in this card. It depicts Milotic both under and above the water. It’s not often that Milotic gets a card in the Pokemon universe. So, it’s a pleasant surprise to see such a stunning illustration become one of themost valuable cards in the set.
While there was some initial doubt about the card holding its value, it has only increased in price since it was released. While it is surely going to lose some of its value during the short term, this card might be a good one to keep for the foreseeable future.
