A new mod was recently posted toNexus Modsby user Arrokoth7323 titled “Mass Effect - Normandy SR1 (Interior - Exterior).” Simply put, it addsMass Effect’s Normandy SR-1 intoStarfield, complete with the interior as it appears in the original game. The creator has fully navmeshed the interior, meaning AI crew members can roam the ship without any strange glitches. ThisStarfieldshipcan be bought from a new vendor at the New Atlantis spaceport. The two franchises share quite a similar aesthetic, so the Normandy doesn’t look all that out of place in theStarfielduniverse.
Gamers Can Fly Mass Effect’s Normandy With This Starfield Mod
In the past, there have been efforts torecreate the Normandy inStarfieldusing the game’s ship-building features. However, nothing can quite compare to having the real thing, exactly as it appears. The interior being the same makes a big difference, too. Players who want to freshen things up are able to customize the interior, although the exterior is unable to be modified. This makes sense, as it’s using a custom model that is not intended to be used with the ship-builder.
It will be very interesting to see what the future holds forStarfieldas an IP. With development onThe Elder Scrolls 6underway and, presumably, aFallouttitle due afterward, it could be a long time before gamers see another fullStarfieldrelease. In the meantime, Bethesda continues to update the game, withrumors of a “code-altering” update forStarfieldat some point this year. What exactly this could entail remains to be seen.
