Summary

Fans ofNo Man’s Skycan now redeem a brand new custom starship released in commemoration of The Game Awards 2024, though not for very long, as the downloadable content will only remain freely available until December 19. Though longtime fans ofNo Man’s Skyhave likely become acquainted with a few unique starships by this point, the new Starborn Phoenix may look familiar, with it being a golden recolor of the Starborn Runner starship that was released at the start of the year.

Though this is the first time in-game content such as this has been made available to download as separate DLC forNo Man’s Sky, there have been plenty of similar events in the past. Whilemost starships inNo Man’s Skyare procedurally generated just like the rest of the game’s rich universe, there have been plenty of one-of-a-kind starships designed by the team at Hello Games, most of which have been distributed via limited-time expedition events or Twitch drop campaigns.
